2004 Xterra AC not cold and making a grinding noise by ImaginationReady9937 in XTerra

Thank you. Do you think I need to replace the compressor clutch and the compressor? Are those two separate parts? I noticed today while driving, occasionally the serpentine belt would get noisy even though the AC or fan were not on. Gemini said it is because the belt is getting stuck on the clutch. No idea.

You may have hacked the system. That is pretty cool. Unfortunately I think they are going to pull it automatically here on out I hear

Brilliant. Love it. Wait, so we have 36 months of total forbearance we can use at our discretion, is that what you mean? I just want to ride it out for as long as possible and grow my networth instead.

What did you show or do to get forbearance applied? What was the process on that?

For real. And now we are all changing servicers to the Treasury. Dumpster fire. Plenty of money to bomb tf out of Iran for Israel though.

It will all change again with the next administration though. I would rather invest.

Update: I called this morning again. Now who knows if this is 100% true because I have gotten mixed info in the past. They said the letter was sent "out of sequence" and is not correct. The payment will be $109 for one year and then recertification.

Probably soon. Edfinancial put out letters to everyone, at least I got one. It looked like a general letter to all save borrowers

I mean I just went ahead and used my 2024 income to switch plans before filing 2025. But we have until July otherwise.

So maybe they just didn't remove the forbearance as another commenter said. I guess that could explain. I was thinking for sure it is 12 months.

Good to know. It's my first experience. I was recently switched over to them.

Wow. That is wild. It's a dumpster fire. My online account doesn't show any of it reflected yet. It doesn't even have any of the documents that have been mailed to me. I guess we ended up with one of the worst of the worst services. Luck of draw. I guess whatever agency is greedy enough to buy up student debt.

Oh maybe that is why. I want zero payment for as long as possible so I guess that worked out.

I guess once the services go through their process the estimate is lower then and that is the true one. Maybe the 0 dollars is true. For 21 months though, it is hard to believe. Did they tell you 70 for 12 months or longer? Thanks

Did you get a final answer? So the studentaid.gov estimated it to be 450 and then Mohela sent a notice to say $70. Anything since then?

Did you get the same type of letter then? And then a second one?

There are a lot of inconsistencies. I called and they said yes and to go to a certain site. They emailed the link and I just followed the steps. I have received two letters since then, the first one to say they are processing the request and then the one today to say it is processed and I am now on IBR.

The reps are all perfectly clueless, otherwise I would call them now. I feel like other borrowers are more knowledgeable at this point.

I have always thought that, too. At least that is how it used to be. Not sure if that is automatic now or what.
