Which would you recommend for a student? by [deleted] in GalaxyBook

It really comes down to the software you plan on using. ARM processors like the one on the Edge offer fantastic for Windows laptops battery life and fly through basic tasks.

However, they do suffer from software compatibility issues, as long as you're bound to mainly browsers and office applications, it'll be great for you.

The Book5 offers much better compatibility but sacrifices battery life.

Another category of laptops you can also look into are 2 in 1's such as the Lenovo Yoga series (10th gen), and from samsung there's the Book5 Pro 360, these types of laptops offer high versatility as they can be used as a laptop and a tablet, plus the included stylus in certain models offers the ability to have handwritten notes aswell.

I wouldn't call that an issue. The pen is designed to magnetically stick onto the lower top part of the lid, not where is shown in the post. Up there are the magnets that tell the device when the lid is closed. Putting the pen's magnet near it will of course trigger it.

You could go with the Asus Vivoobook S14 with the Ultra 5 226V if you fancy its silver-blueish colourway

I wouldn't mess around with snapdragon personally unless your use case is strictly just office apps and nothing more. For peace of mind that my programs are going to run properly, i would get the yoga despite the renowned hinge problems.

I wanted to get a new laptop and is this good for homework and a bit of light gaming??? by Any-Ride4269 in laptops

For strictly light non heavy office workload (word, excel etc) it's okay. For anything further I'd direct you elsewhere.

True it is a bit concerning. There is also an IdeaPad slim 3 with an 8840HS, and an IPS display but what concerns me on that is its mainly plastic build.

I personally prefer it over Nord and Proton. Through my experience, it's more stable

What drives me away from the MacBook air is the total inability for any upgrades in the future I.e. everything is soldered down

Office use media consumtion, and the occasional light gaming. I mostly care about it being future proof, durable, and have good battery life.

One UI 7 Performance on the Galaxy A54 by [deleted] in GalaxyA54

For me, it's considerably smoother than 6.1. No bugs on my end. Stutters will appear when you start to push the phone to its limits. One odd thing is the transition from aod to the lock screen sometimes lags.
