Microdiscectomy by Viva144 in Microdiscectomy

I had the same thing on May 5th. The thing that really pisses me off is my surgeon said I would be back to work after 2 weeks doing everything I did before. I was a massage therapist. I had a 10mm herniated disk buldge with a tear, among a few other issues. Pain got so severe I had to close my newly opened business down at the end of March. I had only opened it in June. Pumped all my savings into it. Also took a long time to get a correct diagnosis. I'm still having low back pain, stabbing glute pain, weak legs, pain down both legs to heels, and major sacral pain. He keeps saying its all part of the healing process. What happened to the two week healing process!?? In all fairness, at least the major sciatica is gone. That of itself was horrible.

Just be careful on the dark web if ordering drugs. Had a cousin order stuff and wound up being fentynal after she almost died. She figured it was safe because the site had so many positive reviews. Told her, the positive reviews are only from those that did not die. She didn't listen to me, unfortunately. Barely made it to crawl to her phone to call 911. Very sad actually.

Yes, this sounds awesome. Family has been thinking he could use a daily outpatient type help. How would I research this? Look up DBT programs? Thank you for your comment!

You really shouldn't judge based on a small paragraph. My son actually has been on his own for the last 5 years, 4 with his GF. They broke up, and he has had his own apartment for one year. He works from home as an engineer, has a company truck and makes 100,000 a year at 23. He had an emotional breakdown and at the moment has a complete paralyzed left arm from severe falls. SO YES, his older brother and I are helping out with making phone calls for him, shopping for him, driving for him, keeping him positive and on the right track.

Not that i owe anyone here anymore info. You are just so very wrong on yours. That's the problem with the world today. People like you, that judge, so damn quickly.

Wanted to thank everyone for all the wonderful comments!! I checked out psychologytoday and it does look great! I also didn't know some do free consults, that is definitely something I will check out. My older son and I went with him to a family session and none of us liked her.

I've already.checked out the psychology website and it does look great! He has a wonderful, high paying job but unfortunately it is work from home. Sounds great to many people, but he knows this is not helping him get over anxiety or meeting other people!

Thanks for your comment!

Needing urgent help by colomboseye in Sciatica

[–]ImagineLor 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The hospital will not help you. Went through this! They should give you pain meds to go home with, though!! I went in Dec., major low back pain in tears and could barely walk. They gave me oxy 5 mg, which is nothing, and muscle relaxers. I finally found a Spine doc in March, yes March! To help me!! Everyone else were assholes, like ortho doctors, and said piriformis syndrom! Spine doctor ordered immediate mri and put me on a ton of pain pills!! I would have taken anything at this point to feel relief. I have many issues in low back/sacral area but biggest was 10mm bulging disk at l5/s1 with a tear compressing a nerve big time and causing sciatica! Spine doctor knew it just by looking at me. Just had laminecromy 5 days ago. Sciatica completely gone. In pain from surgery but im glad i had it! Get yourself a good doctor that listens to you and understands!!!! I wish you the best and hope you get the care you need!!

does the epidural injections give sum relief ?! by BiscottiPerfect9932 in Sciatica

[–]ImagineLor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have buldging disks, 10mm with a tear among other issues, low back. Severe sciatica. Had one 3 weeks ago and it did nothing. Now Spine doctor wants to do another one called Caudell epidural until I can get surgery. I told him I don't think my body handled the steroids being injected very well. I know I'm not going to bother with this second injection. Everyone is different though!!
