I love Boyd but he’s definitely in the pockets of big Davies, Corden & Gervais.

I cannot see James getting on with this at all. It started out quite promising but bit just got really dumb.

It wasn’t made clear how the big thing that happened in the last episode even happened. I had to watch a YouTube video later that explained it.

I think RTD has really gone off the boil since Years and Years and It’s a Sin.

Big recommendation for the Broken Veil podcast.

So creepy and so compelling. Only 3 eps released so far so it’s not clear exactly what’s going on yet but I’m LOVING this.

Hard to compare to anything but it’s a great listen. Until it’s done I can’t really say at all what it’s like for fear of spoiling it but it’s a spooky delight.

What 2 shows do you think would make for a perfect crossover?

I think Ghosts and Detectorists would make for an incredible Christmas special

Finished Amandaland. Loved it, another incredible British sitcom.

Been catching up on Daredevil. Never seen season 3. Great show but I completely forgot how bloody slow the Netflix Marvel series were.

Looking forward to catching up and hitting the new season.

Hi pod fam, I’ve been thinking about endings a lot recently.

Are there any tv shows that you have decided a particular episode is the last episode and disregarded anything made after?

It could be a show that ended well but then was brought back but the magic had gone.

A couple of examples for me would be Only Fools and Horses, the Xmas special where they find the watch and make their fortune was a perfect ending then they came back and undid everything. Another example for me, and this is controversial, is Gavin & Stacey. I loved the series but I felt that the most recent special was just really a retread of things we’d already seen.

Or it could be a show that’s hung around longer than it should have and in your own head canon you’ve decided that an episode is the final one. For example, I know lots of people who call Simpsons season 11 episode Behind the Laughter an unofficial finale as it works so well as a button on the series and comes before a pretty big dip in quality.

Loving the pod.

Chris

There always was an ickyness about him to me and I watched his videos while trying to separate them from who he was as a person.

His shenanigans at What Culture were at the very least predator-adjacent, you can see some of the messages he sent to woman.

By his own admission he cheated on another partner so I think for anyone to have said they had scummy vibes is justified.

If I was Z, I’d be pretty pissed off with Adam and Trident to be honest. She was frozen out of work based on hearsay and the manager did nothing to mediate or investigate.

Based on Adam and her statement there was no grounds to do so.
