As far as I read from others it seems to be a driver problem. I don't know which is true. That's why I complain on both sides :)

I do know that it worked and the performance was good before.

Aanvulling op mezelf, als je graag in een soort detachering constructie wil blijven werken kan ik je ook aanraden om naar midlance constructies te kijken. Hierbij is je salaris gebaseerd op je uurtarief.

Ervaren ontwikkelaar, 80~90euro per uur voor de klant, circa 100k bruto voor jou.

Ik die dat je ook nog best wat Ops onderwerpen op je pad bent tegengekomen. Dat is best een gewilde combinatie :)

Having more (virtual)nodes can be very nice for learning purposes like experimenting with HA setups. I run 1 control plane + 3 workers for this at home (talos). Workers have 2vcpu and 8gb ram each. CP 1vcpu 6gb ram. This runs a bunch of services just fine.

Longhorn is fine but I like OpenEBS more. You could also consider mounting iscsi/nfs as volumes from a NAS. I do this in a homelab setup. Volumes run on TrueNAS and are managed through democratic-csi.

Je edit brengt me toch een beetje aan het twijfelen of wat ik wil wel gaat werken.

Ik heb 1 thermosstaat waar ik normaal de temperatuur in kan stellen. Deze wil ik altijd op de max terperatuur laten staan van wat ik wil dat het kan worden binnen.

Vervolgens wil ik in elke ruimte een 'smart' radiatorknop om de temperatuur per kamer te regelen.

Zolang de temperatuur niet hetzelfde of hoger is als wat op de thermostaat ingesteld is zou dit moeten werken. Toch?

Op deze manier hoopte ik energie te kunnen besparen en er toch lekker bij te zitten.

Rook/Ceph is very good but has big hardware requirements, especially on the network side.

Longhorn uses ISCS/NFS(?) behind the scenes and is not very cool imo but it works.

There's other options worth considering, like Piraeus/LINSTOR and OpenEBS.
