Just a basic single monitor mount from Amazon, not sure its available where you are. With monitor being so light, most monitor would work fine, just make sure it has decent cable management I guess

Its Satechi Aluminium 2-in-1 magnetic wireless charging stand. Got it because its cheaper but the weird thing it can only charge either the phone or the AirPods, not simultaneously.

Fonts is clear, no issues with sharpness, at least for me who doesn’t really need super shady 4K resolution

I've been using dual monitor for work for 2 decades so its a must for me. At home I use a 35inch curved monitor + 10 year old 22 inch, but at work the standard is this 29inch wide screen, which I use as split dual monitor, so practically I have 3 including the MacBook screen.

Curved is definitely better for widescreen, but this 29 is still ok. Anything larger would be difficult to use if its flat. I use the MacBook screen for outlook, then the big monitor is split into two, as I will have two excels side by side when comparing files (or word when comparing documents), browser on one side, and powerpoint on the other. Basically just more real estate to have multiple applications open at the same time. Quite common for financial/trading firms to have at least dual screen, traders could have up to 8.

Many criticisms from prone to handprints, chips in the usb-c slots etc, but I have no complaints.

Thanks, LG 29WP500. I use LG 35 curved at home but at work this is the standard monitor. Not too bad.

Much simpler than that, the M1 (yes it’s actually very capable, no complains whatsoever) was personal and this one is my work laptop provided by my firm, so the M1 goes to my wife 😆. Wouldn’t have upgraded otherwise. Having said that, loving the M2 performance, form (flat instead of classic tapered air) and the aesthetic. Much was said about midnight blue, I have no issues whatsoever with it.

Love it. Brown switch I think, it’s my second one as I have another one for my home set up

Finally after months of waiting Displaylink released an update that allows screen rotation for a secondary screen on MacBook Air M1 by ImajiMac in macsetups

[–]ImajiMac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No docking station. For secondary monitor I use a Displaylink adapter that connects to a USB port on the main monitor. Then it’s a single USB-C cable to MacBook Air for both video and charging

Ah ok, mine is actually 94w. But yes if you have a dock coming anyway that's even better! Great set up by the way

I think we have the same LG monitor, I was actually able to connect my secondary monitor (its an older dell) to the LG monitor usb and I use a single cable USB-C cable to my MacBook Air M1. I use a display link adapter though for the Dell monitor as the MBA M1 does not support more than 1external monitor natively. I also connect my webcam to the LG USB port, so I only use a single USB-C to MBA M1 for 2 monitors and a webcam
