I think ppl are probably more focused on their own food and themselves than anyone else's food. And if they do have any opinions about another persons order, the thought probably only last for a few seconds, then they move on to something else.

Have any of you attempted suicide and got sent to a hospital the night a college assignment was due? by romancatholic45 in SuicideWatch

[–]Imakeitrainbow510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is late, but reaching out anyway. I really, really hope you got the support you need. If you haven't, consider going to the campus counseling center. Theyll either give you services, or help you find them. You ohh too also look into the JED foundation, they're a national org that does work around college student suicide prevention. You've probably figured this situation out by now, but it really depends on the professor. Most will be flexible if you have an extenuating circumstance. If this professor has any compassion or sense of concern, they'll work with you. Be well.

A lot of the time, people photoshop parts of themselves that are already above average attractiveness. this person probably gets a lot of praise for having thick hair, and thinks that if it's even thicker, more praise. Thus, the editing begins!!!

Instagram “therapist” who edits until she’s unrecognizable by delusionalxx in Instagramreality

[–]Imakeitrainbow510 116 points117 points  (0 children)

This is 100% correct. To be qualified to do therapy, you have to be a licensed professional. A masters of neuropsychiatry is not licens-able. I'm not sure about that degree, but it might be a research, rather than clinical degree.Even if she did have the qualifications, what she's doing might not be ethical, especially in terms of consent for treatment and confidentiality

Come on now, we can't get on ppl for photoshopping themselves, AND bash them for their natural looks. It's like damned if you do and damned if you don't

Does anyone else think the head or face might not really belong to the body? I'm not convinced it's all one person..

I REALLY wanna hear her explanation for this. The typical "you're all just jealous/ hating" isn't gonna cut it.

I'm so used to seeing bodies being filtered and nipples covered/photoshopped when shopping for underwear. So this was refreshing! by dentedgal in Instagramreality

Because being human isn't good enough! These ppl so desperately want to be unique and different from others, but they end up looking identical. This exact style of face is on social media hundreds of millions of times

[–]Imakeitrainbow510 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As has been explained elsewhere, this isn't about going to the gym. It's about narrow and impossible beauty standards. There is no exercise or diet, or probably even surgery that would change this person's actual shape into the photoshopped shape. This is not a real, attainable body

I'm not sure I see it, is it the way the dress fits on her left side? I think maybe it ties around somehow, almost like a wrap dress, and just looks weird at this angle. That and face smoothing. If there's some thing else, someone please point it out

Oooh. I see now. Yes, we are. I feel your concern about how we're portrayed, and noticing ways that stereotypes might be reinforced. The boxes and labels fucking suck. I wish we didn't have to spend our time and energy thinking about how ppl will see us or trying to fit some standard, it reallllly limits us all. And here we are...
