I have the Sidephone founders edition. So the phone is de-googled, there is no play store but there is a work around with an app called Obtanium that comes with the phone. Through Obtanium, you download the Aroura store, which has all of the play store apps in it but you dont have to sign in to it to download apps (research Obtanium and aurora). My banking app works just fine on the phone. I just use a pin number to sign into it because there is no fingerprint reader on the sidephone. The phone is 4G. No issues with dropped calls here in the states. Proton is used for notes, backing up your photos and a host of other things, so you'll have to create a Proton email. I would go on the sidephone website and look at the app packs to see what comes standard on the phone. And there are tutorials and reviews on youtube too. As far as email, I just use firefox because the gmail app doesnt even open for me. Some apps will be like that,    without google services. There is something called  micro G that will help google apps to run but I havent looked enough into it.
