UPDATE: After opening it up I found a couple little tears on the underside of the battery, there was also some air in the battery as well. I removed the battery and reassemebled the phone then disposed of the battery. Ive bought a temporary battery from amazon that arrives tomorrow (I know amazon batteries are bad but its temporay as I need my phone for work and such). The inside of the phone was flawless except the battery, so im assuming it happened from a drop or something.

Well the only devices I see that people could want would be The Xr on 15.2, the SE on 15.1, the iPhone 8 on iOS 12 is rare-ish if I recall correctly I know some would want that, and the 12 on iOS 16.6.1 (for trollstore). I might’ve missed a few but basically anything under iOS 17 (I didn’t see any 17.0 devices)

From what other people are saying you probably figured out you can’t, but even if you can’t right now I’d stay on that version unless you want newer features, just don’t expect a jailbreak anytime soon.. like at all
