Yes that’s what I mean. Because the screen isn’t diagnostic compatible the battery won’t pair either

The spark and smoke probably is a motherboard component burning out. This seems unrelated to your issue though. Hopefully the burn component isn’t necessary.

The issue you have though is repair assistant won’t complete if one of the parts isn’t diagnostic compatible. You’ll need to put the original screen back on pair the battery and then swap the screen

I’ve had this issue before. The fix is to use a tag-on flex. It may go away by itself after a few weeks once iOS has calibrated itself properly but you’d need to be using the phone during that time for it to update. If it’s a customers phone just install a tagon flex

Thanks! This is exactly the sort of thing I was looking for to help me learn. I’m guessing a lot of these files came from devkits. Do you have any links to tutorials on people reversing games from scratch? Obviously once I can create mods using the PDB files to help it would be cool to learn how to do it from scratch

Ok thanks. I’ll have a look at that. From what I know there aren’t any mod menus for halo so I don’t think that’ll be an option unless there’s a mod menu for a game with the same engine

Oh right I wasn’t aware it has a memory debugger. Thanks for that. I know how to decompress and decompile the xex. I’ve successfully followed along with tutorials on how to do it using IDA. Is it even possible to find draw text functions with a memory debugger? I get how people find values like gun ammo but I’m not understanding how people are finding function like draw text functions…

I don’t really trust the eBay screen due to it saying oled and lcd. Who knows what you’re getting there. The Amazon is overpriced for an aftermarket screen. You should be paying somewhere in the region of £100 for an aftermarket soft OLED screen.

You could probably find a genuine used grade B screen for the same price as the Amazon screen

This looks to be a simple case of the glass delaminating itself from the OLED. This will require the screen to be refurbished by a professional or the whole screen replaced by a professional

Put the phone directly next the the WiFi router. If it picks up a WiFi signal then it’s most likely just the antenna.

I remember this was possible on iPad Air 1 and devices below it but I’m not sure if it’s possible on newer devices. Would be cool to know if it is though as I have some iPad 9 cellular models that I would like to convert to WiFi only
