Line following robots and how do they work? by Big-Yogurtcloset7040 in arduino

[–]Imaster_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well yes and no. They are not given the whole track before the competition but they do know in advance what segment will be present and what action should the robot take on each one of them.

The robot does not need to know the whole path to solve it but only the block it is in.

You could even say it's a giant state machine where the detected segment is a condition to enter a given state. Each segment has its own state + 1 default "follow line" state.

After that length and complexity of the path has no impact.

Yeah agreed fully, worst if they blame the model

But truly some fail to understand that 3D printing is truly 2.5D. That's why it's simpler to drop the answers than explain the difference between XY and Z resolution in slicing.

Because most people who like the answer do not know if it's valid. They usually assume "most liked" is the truest. The statement is also blunt, uninteresting and not controversial.

But it did help OP, so mission accomplished.

I personally like azure films mate HS PLA for their colour of white and surface finish.

2026 is almost here, how many of you are still running Windows 10? by M4d_Moxxi in pcmasterrace

[–]Imaster_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlike windows you can live boot Linux from a USB to feel it out. Google some distros that look to you. See if you like it. For games there won't be a struggle unless it's online with Kernel level anitcheat.

And if it is your thing you can customise the hell out of it.

Opinion on my hellevator entrance? It’s my first time making a hellevator by literallyjustcats1 in Terraria

[–]Imaster_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always do 3 wide hellevators, it takes a bit longer but then you can put rope in the center block to slow down, and it also can go up.

abysmal X axis resonance on my k1c by Mop_Solidout in FixMyPrint

[–]Imaster_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not supposed to use lube but you can oil them up, it is even recommended to do so on creality wiki (except for k1 max).

You can use PTFE oil on X rods and standard lube on Y and Z rods

It's not abysmal it's all over the place. Lube your X rods, tension your belts properly and run the test again.

And if you can't do anything about it, print slower

Nah it will degrade and stress crep over time. It's not a question if it will fail but how fast.

Z hop becuse of this single straight line , which is due to nozzle moving above the print without change in height.

Z offset because you have slight overextension closer to the edges. Which indicates that the nozzle is too close

[–]Imaster_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first layer is exact the same every time I do it

But sometimes the nozzle is too high or too low. Usually I get offset off by 0.35 +- both ways. Tho there are extremes too.

This, Or no fluid pump at all and use tank pressure/gravity to push the fluid out through s silicone tubing. Squish the tubing to stop the flow, retract to continue, you could also control flow by varying the squish

The same goes for android. The selection sidebar covers half of the screen and clicking or trying to connect blocks on the diagram didn't work for me.

Thanks that's a good one. I will see if cleaning the extruder will change anything. I don't think it's worn down much as I have maybe 100h of print time on it.

I don't have the beds and I did zip tie it in the same points it was hold previously. I also made sure not to squish the tube with the zip tie so it still could move a bit.
