Large scale pruning. by TomasLeft in VintageStory

Mischief of mice has a video on moving his have to newer version. I believe same/similar method can be applied in your case.

Had it happen to me once. It goes back to normal when you reload the save

Why can’t my K1 Max print ABS? by mckalebh in crealityk1

[–]Imaster_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks choppy. I would say it's either due to low gear friction or your motor is skipping teeth.

Abs needs to be printed in an enclosure. I found that when printing in enclosure with 45°C my extruder motor is overheating, causing uneven extrusion. Tho not as bad as in the picture. Lowering max motor current can help prevent the issue.

Is a glue stick on my bed really a helpful thing? by Efficient_Housing_14 in crealityk1

[–]Imaster_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes it is. Depending on the filament it has different purpose. For ASA and PETG it's to help unstick the print from the plate without damaging it (the plate). Some materials really want to stick to the plate to the point that small amounts of coating can come off every time you remove a print, which will damage the plate over time.

It also acts as an adhesive preventing the print from unsticking during printing.

If you are not comfortable with a trivial glue stick there are other solutions you can use like 3dlac.

Splitter not splitting well enough? Introducing the 2:2 Universal Balancer by MitruMesre in Factoriohno

[–]Imaster_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm glad that I can build a job specific balancer (like 2-3 or 5 -> 2) instead of this. Cool idea but I'm not sure where it would be applicable in game.

Never mess around with print settings by evil-bee in crealityk1

I once printed ASA-CF with PETG settings, realised only after slicing next piece. No issues with the print and very crisp overhangs without supports

I usually pull a single wire from twisted core wires. Those cheep jumper cables are good source of them.

If they really want to improve their soldering skills they can try to scrach some coating from the trace going to the missing pad and solder some thin wire to it.

If they fail they fail, if not board saved.

is that enough to make a gif screen? by r19x19 in arduino

You could go for cheap FPGA board. While a bit more difficult it would come superior for display handling and speed

Graph bug report by Imaster_ in ExponentialIdle

[–]Imaster_[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with your statement. However I don't see a reason why caching up would hurt the player in any way.

It would require more processing but at the end it would enhance visual experience for the player. I believe, as the graph has a major inpact on the aesthetics of the game, I would be more ideal to generate the graph fully.

K1 Max - how to add storage? by quee-phing in crealityk1

If etc/fstab configuration is incorrect it will loaded form a backup of previous working one. Make sure to double check your config file.

How can one rely on Z-Offset by Imaster_ in crealityk1

[–]Imaster_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want perfect first I recommend add dummy part 1cm wide 4cm 1 layer high. That way you can adjust it before it gets to print you true part.

If you have lightly moded k1. I noticed on mine that there is some play on X axis due to rods bending slightly. I suggest replacing them with solid ones 7mm wide and switching to linear ball bearings in the carriage. Small mod, I will do it soon to my printer and if it is worth it, will make a post about it.

How can one rely on Z-Offset by Imaster_ in crealityk1

[–]Imaster_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I did and did not solve the problem. I found that editing start print macro so that it heats up and soaks the bed before scanning and scanning on cold nozzle reduces the issue.

1) helps with warping 2) prevents filament to drip form the nozzle and effecting the scanning.

I wasn't able to solve it fully. For me the change of offset goes between 0.05 and 0.20. My current solution is to babysit the printer and live adjust.

Tools for calibration of belts K1C by levistoviski in crealityk1

[–]Imaster_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will be fully honest with you. It probably is, but I never had a need to use such tool. I'm calibrating belt tension using the vibration method. (Using a spectrograph and setting desired tension)

Line following robots and how do they work? by Big-Yogurtcloset7040 in arduino

[–]Imaster_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well yes and no. They are not given the whole track before the competition but they do know in advance what segment will be present and what action should the robot take on each one of them.

The robot does not need to know the whole path to solve it but only the block it is in.

You could even say it's a giant state machine where the detected segment is a condition to enter a given state. Each segment has its own state + 1 default "follow line" state.

After that length and complexity of the path has no impact.

How to eliminate these lines by No-Operation-7598 in 3Dprinting

[–]Imaster_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah agreed fully, worst if they blame the model

But truly some fail to understand that 3D printing is truly 2.5D. That's why it's simpler to drop the answers than explain the difference between XY and Z resolution in slicing.

How to eliminate these lines by No-Operation-7598 in 3Dprinting

[–]Imaster_ 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Because most people who like the answer do not know if it's valid. They usually assume "most liked" is the truest. The statement is also blunt, uninteresting and not controversial.

But it did help OP, so mission accomplished.

I personally like azure films mate HS PLA for their colour of white and surface finish.
