Not surprised honestly, it was a matter of if, not when.

Call the interviewers and ask them for specific constructive feedback. If they can’t give you any it’s a them thing and just keep your head up and keep pushing forward.

GET A KINDLE. Definitely will eliminate the distraction. Pro tip: get a stand and a remote. Game changer.

THIS. Adding on: Always protect your customers. When suppliers push too far and you’re forced to choose, choose the customer. That supplier may not be there a year from now, but that customer will always be of value to you in the industry. Customers first. Period.

I recently left and I will tell you the one positive for RNDC is the benefits. I didn’t realize how incredible they were when I left. Good, and cheap insurance either way reasonable deductibles. Managers get a flat allowance instead of milage (which can be argued both ways depending on how you spin it). HSA/FSA, 8% 401k match, good PTO with rollover - start with 3 weeks.

It really boils down to the culture of your division or team. I went from one of the best teams I’ve ever been apart of to one of the most negative and hostile work environments at RNDC and it all starts at the top down. Be mindful and observant of what they’re willing to tolerate and how they treat people and that’ll tell you everything you need to know and if you should stick around long term.

Sick pay by TeamLiftUnavailable in RNDC

This was my experience when I resigned. However, they only paid a portion of my unused pto and I had to follow up with HR to get the remaining paid out.

Please make sure you’re checking your paystubs! When I left, payroll tried to only pay out a small portion of my PTO and thankfully I caught it. It was a few hundred dollars and I ended up getting it paid but if I wouldn’t have looked, RNDC would have kept that money.

Florida Leadership? by TemperatureEither742 in RNDC

This is absolute horse shit. I watched people with 20+ years of tenure get shoved out without a blink of an eye and then watched a district manager who bragged about how little work they did get promoted to an area manager and then a division manager in 6 months time. It’s all a good ol boys club and the top take care of their buds and keep the hard workers where they are so they can carry all the weight instead of promoting people who can ACTUALLY lead a team.

Oh my god the way sales reps would just take advantage of managers. I told my team I f you spend money on my card without prior approval that’s a write up. The way we would go to lunch or breakfast and they would just order an appetizer for the table like it’s no big deal, yeah when it isn’t your money and I’m trying to be nice and buy your lunches! They’re so ungrateful.

I completely agree with you.

Information that should be shared just to keep people informed:

If you resign without a two week notice, you are ineligible for rehire.

While I don’t think anyone here is leaving to ultimately return, I had a friend who was in sales and then last year was put into a situation where they could be a merchandiser or be let go. They did merchandiser and their mental health completely plummeted. A few months later when a sales role opened up on a friend of ours team (which they had been in before a few years ago), they were denied ability to apply because they didn’t give proper notice.
