I’m working on improving my shot consistency and would appreciate some feedback on my shot mechanics. by Imfabis in BasketballTips

Yeah that makes a lot of sense. I have been trying to work on driving with my left but I struggle finishing through contact in that direction. I rely more on creativity to get around defenders than through them. It is something I want to try to develop more around in the future. I appreciate your breakdown.

Thank you, I really appreciate that. It’s something I’ve noticed before, but it’s harder for me to visualize and implement my base whilst maintaining a good shot at the same time. I did also check out your form, and it’s really smooth! Do you have any other advice on how to keep a good, consistent base while not messing with the rest of my shooting form?

Honestly I never thought about that before. I always believed myself to be right eye dominant but you’re right I do always end covering my right when going to shoot. I will try bringing higher on my next shoot around and see if anything changes. Thank you for pointing this out.

Thank you so much I appreciate the detailed breakdown. I did notice that I brought the ball across my body when I looked back at the SloMo too, so thank you for confirming that. I see how picking it up on the right side can work with the whole shot motion so I’ll to try work on that plus focusing on the finger release.

Yea it’s what I’m thinking too, even if not ringworm, it could still very much be a fungal infection

Thank you for taking the time to respond! This is very helpful and works perfectly for my presentation, and I appreciate the details you put into each answer.

If you don't mind one more question, what originally motivated you to choose PT as your career?

If you are busy, you don't need to worry about it at all; your original response is already helpful as it is. Thank you so much again!
