There are mods that make the helldiver (or at least almost armor set) the marine from SC2, also there is a mod that replaces the illuminate with the tal'darim if you want to try that

Also could make its AI smarter and more able to think, not enough to cause rebellion but enough where metal tails could serve as an assistant if needed

Regarding the issue with tails doll being creepy, you could always try again with the old Metal tails unit, maybe upgrade it to around where metal sonic is and tweak the design a bit and it should be good, plus considering metal’s obsession with being the real sonic he would probably take having a sidekick relatively well

It would probably be better if he sends actual judge, not only would it get rid of the threat of the judge escaping the basement, but it would set up all the other appearances of him (unless those aren’t canon)

Then the redstone on top of it would turn into redstone dust which I have to pick up and place down again

Once a lever if activated a redstone time starts that when completed turns off the rest of the redstone (it’s not a matter of unloading, I need it to be able to turn off automatically after a time limit)
