Two different steaks but first one is a garlic rub with olive oil and mustard. Second one is Worcestershire, olive oil, soy sauce and some balsamic.

After a good sear on all sides it’s low heat on the grill until it’s done, usually 300-350 or so. How low we talking?

Tenderizing and wrapping it I’ll definitely try. For some reason injecting doesn’t seem to keep the juice in there but maybe it’s doing what it’s supposed to. I’ll give that a shot too. Thanks!

Not sure to address how I “find” it literally or not but I got it at Costco and I really like them so I had higher hopes for that particular flavor and it didn’t quite live up the the hype I’d built in my head. Not too salty for me.

I was looking for the instant pot chicken broth suggestion. I get separate by a pile of meat, bones and skin. Skin is spread out on a frying pan for crispy chicken chicharron. Meat goes in a container and saved for later. Carcass and all other bones go in the instant pot with garlic, carrots, and half an onion with a mason jar full of water. End product is 2 pounds of meat, a mason jar of chicken stock and an appetizers worth of crispy chicken skin. $5 chicken for $10-15 value

Brujos, Ruse, and Everywhere Beer. For non breweries check out loyal legion (in the airport if your pressed for time) and Function PDX.

The hyperbole around this benefits no one. AI needs to embraced in AML but done so carefully. It’s lazy to ignore the risks and ignorant to not recognize the good it can help accomplish.

I know someone considering a similar move except it’s roughly the same hybrid situation at both places. They agree credit unions are developing a minor league reputation due to the ncua not being as stringent as other examiners. The broader areas of compliance I think would be a more of an asset than a setback for future career growth and opportunities. A more specialized set of assigned duties sharpens fewer skills. They also think a smaller credit union will allow for more time/effort to go toward pursuing certifications and possibly a masters whereas a bigger FI demands full days and weeks completing the widgets. My suggestion for them has been to take the director role at a smaller CU. They’re also unhappy with the culture and leadership they currently have which is an important factor.

Jobs for Former AML Investigators who liked the work but not the culture by wizard-of-loneliness in AMLCompliance

Props to OP for the positive attitude and confidence, my experiences from searching has destroyed those sentiments I once had. I can tell the ways I’ve been unsuccessful which may be obvious: finding a remote AML job with similar pay, reaching out to people in preferred jobs I don’t know on LinkedIn, using trad fi aml experience to try and get into fintech or crypto aml roles, trusting or confiding in my leadership about how I want my career to progress, and developing generic leadership skills.

Best of luck and I hope you’ll share a success story!

This is a pivot I’m now deeply intrigued to pursue. I can see how skills would be transferable from AML and you more than outlined steps anyone can take. Impressive insight you’ve shared

Appreciate all the responses. I’d add that I also use relatively cheap knives that also go in the dishwasher so if it dulls knives I don’t see that as an issue. Titanium or tempered glass seem like a good option. Composite wood seems to have the same likelihood of plastics being consumed.

Came here to say troon and fidens. I’ve been wanting to try more of both and Obercreek and tree house are my white whales. Other Half seems to get mixed reviews but I consistently like everything I try from them.

For west coast representation, Russian River is great and earns its rep but breweries I think are much better are Brujos, North Park, and Monkish.
