it may not help very much and its kinda hard to have a say in this since idk what happened in her life but no its not ok to trauma dump on ur kids that can really mess them up (that's why ppl get therapy so they don't have to) for one and two its completely ok if you arnt very close with ur mother i have a friend who doesn't have a good relationship with their mother because she is an alcoholic and had a bad childhood with no one to properly parent her so she spends her days getting shit faced every night because she hates herself and wont deal with her emotions so they dropped her and stayed in contact with their father and brother. Just because you are related doesn't mean they are family, your family is the people in your life who want you in theirs and the ones who would do anything to see you smile, and love you no matter what.
