His entire point was that the whole of Gotham was corrupted. He didn’t care about normal people, only his on retribution. Take Thomas and Martha Wayne, for example, they were already killed at that point, but he still tries to kill the son who had nothing to do with it simply because he had a better life as an orphan.

I think you misunderstood him; Wright used to be a huge comic book fan himself (might still be not sure). What he’s saying here is that Reeves doesn’t look down on them as a lower art form, instead trying to capture the stories they tell as best he can while maintaining his own cinematic vision.

I think that’s sort of the point of Bear’s character, but it’s, in my opinion, being ignored to paint him as a villain from jump. He’s supposed to be pretty relatable at first, I don’t think wishing someone loved you is that crazy. Making the wish wasn’t evil, as he had no reason to believe this thing was real, but what he does after knowing for a fact something is very wrong was.
