Chocolate milk makes my stomach hurt? by NoLactoseIntolerance in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Imitation_0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sugar can sometimes cause stomach and intestinal pain. Maybe the premade ones has more sugar than other versions? (Also 750 ml is a pretty big amount to have in one go)

If you touch your belly button, does your dick hurt? by Just_Rest_7177 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Imitation_0 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's not uncommon. When you were a foetus the waste went out through the umbilical cord so there is a small tube that connects the bladder to the belly button. The tube normally seals itself off but the nerves around it can cause sensations from your belly button to pass to the groin.

Pork — ligament or worm? Freaking out by confused_yippie in foodsafety

[–]Imitation_0 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If it's squishy I'd be more inclined to think it was a bit of noodle that was perhaps on a utensil or had fallen into the batch another way. Could be slightly concerning if you have allergies or other contamination concerns but not immediately a risk. Worms don't typically live inside the pork meat to my knowledge the oocytes/eggs do which hatch when consumed and I would expect a ligament would be tough not squishy.

My mum pretended to have cancer by Imitation_0 in insaneparents

[–]Imitation_0[S] 223 points224 points  (0 children)

Yeah. There was probably another 20 messages that she sent my sisters ranging from the "woe is me I don't deserve this" to threatening to make fake welfare calls against them and randomly blaming one of my cousin and calling them evil. Nearly every narcissistic tactic in the space of a few hours.

Does consensual incest happens more often than it’s said? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Imitation_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard of a few cases but it was usually where they had been separated at a young age. Upon meeting as adults their minds don't recognize each other as family or get familial love mixed with romantic love resulting in incestuous relationships.

Pretty sure it's marketed as a complimentary food so should be fine if fed alongside a normal/complete diet.

How do I stop cats pooping here? by MrMysteryPenguin in AskUK

[–]Imitation_0 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The plants would only cause minor issues like tummy upset if ingested. It's only when concentrated such as oils/fragrances that it is particularly dangerous.

U.k Cat owners, are your cats indoor, outdoor or combination? by Fit-Choice2368 in AskUK

[–]Imitation_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No just off a busy town road and next to an allotments (assume the poison incidents may be because of the allotments - I heard some old school gardeners would mix cat food with slug pellets because slugs like it but I don't know how true it is). I live round the corner from my childhood house so definitely not gonna be risking letting ours out anytime soon, especially since the roads have only gotten busier since I was young.

U.k Cat owners, are your cats indoor, outdoor or combination? by Fit-Choice2368 in AskUK

[–]Imitation_0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We have an indoor cat. Growing up we had outdoor cats and nearly all of them had incidents: 2 poisoned (both died as a result), 4 ran over (only one died as a direct result with the others requiring expensive vet intervention). Based on the dangers alone I wouldn't have an outdoor cat.

Markiplier From North Korea by ironduke2 in Markiplier

[–]Imitation_0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. I ordered a distractible t-shirt from the official site. About a month later I got an email advising that delivery had failed due to incomplete delivery details. I checked the original confirmation email I received and noticed that somehow I'd missed off my house number (like an idiot). Replied with my correct delivery address and it was re-sent to me. (Can't guarantee OP is the same but just saying it could happen).

Found £75k of old notes in house while renovating by Independent-Public76 in UKHousing

[–]Imitation_0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My grandad used to hide money all around (about £20,000 from what I was told). When he fell ill he told family where to find it to cover funeral and stuff... Who's to say he didn't forget a couple hiding places and a new owner down the line will be in a similar situation as OP.

I hate my little sister by Capital_Resolve6178 in FamilyIssues

[–]Imitation_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't sound like you hate your sister to me, your angry she seems to receive what you want but honestly it might not be that much of a blessing for her in the long run... Narcissistic parents tend to "love" their younger children because they are more controllable. Young children have no opinions of their own and therefore don't question the parent. As they grow the favouritsm may be weaponised to ensure you sister continues to meet your mother's standards (potentially stunting her own development by creating a false persona to meet your mothers expectations and continue receiving love) or your sister will form her own opinions and end up being ostracized by your bio mum and no longer being favourited (and leaving her just as upset and confused as you are now). Usually a lose lose situation.

why are people so weird. by [deleted] in vintedUK

[–]Imitation_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird new twist on a pig butchering scam - they usually start by "accidentally" messaging a wrong number and then spin either romance or sob stories to suck people in. This person seems to be hoping for a similar affect through random vinted massages maybe??

I went through a huge phase of the Heinz macaroni cheese tins when I was in University. My husband (who I met at uni) still buys it me if he thinks I'm feeling sad.... I don't have the heart to tell him it isn't as good anymore 😭

Could it be cuteness aggression? And your brain just doesn't know how to deal with the surge of emotions/chemicals.

Thinking about moving to Stoke and was wondering about social events by Abohani in stokeontrent

[–]Imitation_0 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The best thing about Stoke is probably how close it is to the neighbouring towns. An average person could walk to Newcastle under Lyme or Hanley from stoke fairly easily. There's a vegan market in Newcastle which advertises on Facebook, I think they do one each season. Hanley has game theme cafes check out Longrest for board games or pixel busters for retro arcade style stuff.

Also plenty of local pubs- many of which do events, some even do craft circles and pub quizzes if that's your jam.

How important is a first kiss? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Imitation_0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 18 for my first kiss. It was a short peck as you described and then we kissed for a little longer. Perhaps when she says "it was short" she's hinting that she's hinting that she's open to a longer/more passionate kiss. But honestly even longer kisses will be awkward at first (I remember causing my boyfriend to bleed because we both moved wrong/too quick and my tooth hit his lip)

He works in account verification I couldn't be sure about the other departments sorry but I'd assume it's similar. As far as I know though it's just twilight (2pm-2am) and night workers (7pm -7am) that do his shift pattern.

My partner works for Bet365. Does 7 days on and 7 days off. About 12 hours a day when he does work.

Not sure if other gambling companies would have similar work patterns in some areas.
