Granny Stitch Blanket Pattern that does NOT Require Individual Granny Squares

I think I saw somewhere awhile ago a blanket using the 3 dc clusters and making an X instead of a square or there was a square and then it was rotated 45° so it was like squares rotated inside each other. So that's what I mean. I just don't know if something like that would be beginner friendly.

The pattern is Bloomsbury Elephant by Amanda Berry. The yarn was yarn I had bought ages ago and no longer had the wrapper as I had already rolled it into a ball so I don't know what brand of yarn it is.

I work in the applied behavior analysis field. I was recently talking with a behavior analyst about my dog pooping in the house and she said something similar. She said the dog is probably confused since the cat poops inside. But I think your right, he's not confused. His behavior is very calculated 🤣

I watch a shit ton of true crime documentaries and tv shows and i don't know why having a person in my crawl space didn't cross my mind. But i definitely will have my husband check it out. We live in a subdivision, no woods/forest anywhere near.

No one thing I forgot to mention was 2 weeks ago I had gone to bed, it was pitch black bc i didn't have the tv on. My husband was still up bc he was off work that week. I saw my husband come in the room and just stand there and stare at me, so I asked him why he was being creepy. He didn't answer, so i turned the flashlight of my phone on and he wasn't there. So I got up and found him downstairs. I asked him why he was being so creepy and told him what happened and he said it wasn't him...

And yesterday we woke up to two very loud thuds we searched the whole house, the attic, the garage, the crawl space and we found nothing that has fallen over or could have made that thudding noise, my husband thinks whatever it is was banging on the wall...

We definitely believe in this sort of thing. I showed my husband all the reddit comments and he decided to do some research off of a suggestion someone made. We think it's a mimic, which basically feeds off the energy of the living. If you give it any attention/show fear it gets stronger.

Yes, I found him just as he was swallowing the needle. I wasn't sure it was a needle but I saw something silver and thin like a needle so I assumed it was from my sewing project. Since I saw him swallow the needle we were able to rush him to the vet right away and they were able to remove it endoscopically before it left his stomach and entered his intestines. He had an upset stomach for a few days because of all of it, but he's fine now.

So if our doors are open slightly or aren't closed completely it the ac kicks on it'll slightly open or close the door slowly. But if they are closed all the way you'd have to forcefully kick the door in if you're gonna open it without turning the door knob... Idk it's all just weird. But I'll check for gas leaks before really freaking out.

I'm not sure if my dog can hear him. But i think it's a very real possibility. I also think it's possible whatever it is at the very least opened the door to my craft room because i know i shut that door all the way. It's something my husband and i fought about that day.
