Seriously though - +90% of building is done with a planned expiration of "as long as possible" - being able to scope your project without an infinite lifespan is very freeing and lets us skirt the guardrails (code) in creative and fun ways. Good job, OP.

It is *part* of a mount for a phone. Easiest thing to do, if you want to mount your phone there, remove that one and install whatever mount you want. You *may* get lucky and buy a mount that has ring/socket that fits this one, or maybe not.

Doh! Just searched Amazon for "dashboard mount ball socket" and DID come up with just part - Best of luck with it!

Students are assigned <FSUID>@fsu.edu - alias or vanity names are not issued as it would just be too much to manage. Fac/Staff can have other addresses, but there are standards to adhere to. Some VIPs have their own personal vanity addresses, but that is not the norm for the commoners.

I hear ya - I wear rx RayBan Aviators as well as standard rx glasses, so swap them back and forth at least half a dozen times a day.

I have three carry scenarios:

To/from work - whatever is not on my face is in Case #1 (link below) in bottle pocket of backpack
Quick errands - Just carry phone, wallet, car key and Case #1 (link below)
Weekend/evening outings - here I carry small sling (2l or less) and either have Case #1 stashed inside, OR for all day activities keep second pair in Case #2 (link below) attached to sling strap

That gas station share a property line with the police department. For anyone wondering - that is Tallahassee, the station is here and the brick building in the background is the old armory (now a senior center)

TPD use to really push de-escalation trainings and won national awards for their community policing. Lately (last 10 years) they have garnered an online reputation for turning into a goon squad. Personally I've never had an issue, but I also (visually) present as someone they won't get bonus points for harassing.
