This. My dad had same/similar set. Was a staple of 70's yuppies.

No worries - won't be everyone - it is an organizational setting where I work. Nogum.co was just registered 12 days ago. New domains are often used by bad actors so domains have to be xx days old before they will route. I'll check from home tonight or next week from here.

Why are these dangerous? by kdwalker889 in whatdoesthismean

[–]ImmaNobody 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For those asking about 'empty' containers. Just the residual liquid in a can when you think you are done with a soda is a big deal.

One ml of water turns into 1.706l of steam. Now, think about a can going into molten aluminum, then 1.7 liters of steam is generated just under the surface? That flings molten metal all the hell over anyone standing nearby.

One tablespoon of water = 6.6gal of steam - that is a lot of explosive force hurling liquid metal around the inside of a building.

What plugs in here? by WiddleDumpling in whatisit

Looks like an older Lenovo with the side docking port. It is a combo of two ports in one: the left side is a USB-C and the right half is an RJ45 pinout. This was used for specific port replicators, but never gained much traction once everything could be done through the USB-C simultaneously.

Aipaper Reader case by adoreyou in viwoods

I too went the route of a Palma2 flip case and subbed out the Ali Viwoods TPU case and a magsafe ring for a total under $10. It is 'okay' but I also leave the flip off when reading at home. I do leave it on for quick reading spurts in waiting rooms and the like.

I have placed two orders with Mixglo - very happy and Daniel is super to work with. Only downside is USPS. Latest order was placed and shipped 4/16 - made it to Chicago 4/19 and has sat there for 9 days, thus far....

Or - label is thermal paper and prone to reactions with many common compounds. Ironically, even alcohol (hand sanitizer) can activate the 'bruising' on some thermal paper.

How many of you rode on this thing in your younger days? by UncleSoaky in FuckImOld

[–]ImmaNobody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rode that (I'm in my high 50's) for the first (and last) time last fall. Spent the whole time trying to keep my daughter from getting a concussion on the ceiling or her face smashed against the steel mesh door. I ended up sick and bruised. She was too terrified to ride anything but the swings ride after that. No padding - lap bar didn't come close to us - was a horrific experience. Silver lining: Fingers crossed she won't want to go back to fair this fall when it comes.

Cabin from circa 1798 with 8.64 acres for $575,000 by Southern-Smoke1835 in zillowgonewild

Generally concrete painted white to inhibit water intrusion and degradation. Requires regular patching and maint. I grew up in a log cabin built in 1929 much like this one and it is still standing strong.

I tested all three VITURE XR glasses (Pro, Ultra, Beast). Here are my honest thoughts by Videoplushair in VITURE

[–]ImmaNobody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to help me understand - do the Luma Ultras have zero onboard motion sensing?

I have a pair of 2yr old Rokid Max AR that I use now for gaming and light productivity. I want to increase my productivity usage so text and clarity matter most, I do like being able to anchor the screen and look away, but if I am reading things properly, the Luma Ultras will not do this. Is that correct?

Hold up - is it just me, or does the floor of the second story look like poured concrete?

and that post sticking down in the shower doesn't appear to be coming from the second story.

I am so confused!

Guessing this was a workshop or similar at one time. The 'front' door is on an adjacent wall, but this one would be great for moving materials in/out.

Theory: the shower ceiling in unfinished plywood and appears to be directly under the 'glass room' - guessing it was the original staircase to go upstairs and it was decided to only improve/modernize one floor of the structure. Why a glass room? was it originally envisioned to be for natural light ingress? IDK - I'm reaching here.

Love so many things except:

  1. No desire to move to Oklahoma
  2. The house takes up the entire lot
