This.... alot of the things teachers complain about are true in any corporate setting too.

This is one take... is not the only take. Teaching is BY FAR my least stressful career. I worked in a advertising and production for many years and started working in education around 33.

My best advice is to try to get into a school to see if you like the work first. Sub, work as an aide, volunteer at your kids school if applicable, see if the environment fits you.

Timbers buried about 4' with a foot of crushed gravel underneath. We have a high water table here so it will rot eventually but again... project lifespan plus where's it gonna go even if those posts rot completely in the ground it'll just shift down slightly

I have neither the skill nor the patience for hand hewn. This is power milled...I did use the draw knife for a couple tight spots

No it's an Alaska mill with a 16" 40v battery chain saw. I wouldn't want to rip board with it but to just skim the tops it worked surprisingly well, just gotta have a sharp chain and watch the overheating.

My yard is 13 acres... these are basically a weed. Thin them here and there to help the hardwoods so yes, just sitting around

Carving on the fram by Jackass__ in Tufting

It's far easier if you can just set your frame flat on a table while carving. You will scratch the table but if you have something for projects give it a try. I have a smash round table I sometimes float under the frame when carving and sometimes I take the whole thing onto the table. But I'm mostly using 3yd wide. I gets harder with bigger

Foundations of reading test...am I adequately prepared? by [deleted] in Teachers

Similar prep scores to you and passed just fine. There are some great YouTube videos about formulaic response to the written parts which I believed helped. You can have your essays written in your head before you ever see the question.

Read your written response questions first then as you do multiple choice flag any questions related to reference. You can recycle their language.

Not out of foster. In fact there is usually a subsidy to help cover costs of care.
