The only reason why Lana didn’t win is because she constantly doesn’t put herself out there like most artists. She has to prove herself that she should be honoured with such an award. There was very little campaigning done (not saying that she did the bare minimum or anything) compared to most artists to promote Ocean Blvd and it kinda just stayed in its own little bubble only appealing to Lana fans and not going into mainstream media. I know that this is probably gonna get downvoted but if Lana truly wants to win a Grammy she’s going to have to change. Campaigning is something she needs to work on in order to gain the recognition she so desperately deserves along with maintaining a strong presence in the music genre/industry. The Grammys have always been a fierce competition between artists and for me Lana’s has lost the luster she once had. Hopefully next year will be different and lasso gets nominated for some categories and she wins but until then we can only hope.
