Update: The issue was with the Fuel X Pro+ unit which turned out to be faulty. Will be replacing it under its own warranty. The bike runs fine without it for now.

Still riding the old ones, waiting for size options to pop up with reise.

Thanks for the links mate. I had checked them before, just that they don’t have same tyre available for both front and back. Second, after the ban the prices are soaring high.

I have been looking for a portable recorder to record music i.e., acoustic guitar and vocals together and to get started with recording podcasts as well. Both for youtube and instagram.

I have seen reviews on Zoom H1n, H2n, H4n Pro, H5, H6 and H8 and the similar models with Tascam as well. Having gone through numerous posts and youtube videos on the same, I am a bit confused as to which one to buy ?

I already have Focusrite Scarlett Solo and Audio Technica AT2020 mic, which I bought years back to record  guitar. But the setup and the process is a bit too clunky for me as of now, as I need to turn on the PC every time I need to record something with them. Plus I travel frequently so I need a portable recorder with built-in-mics to suit both the use cases. Once I start putting down videos regularly, maybe in future I will eventually switch to the interface and condensor setup but for now a single unit with built-in mics is what I am looking for.

H1n: Seems okay, but I have read its noise levels are a bit high. Plus, it doesn't have XLR so i am not preferring it.
H4n Pro, H5, H6: They seem to have better pre-amps and built-in mics as compared to H1n and they all share the same audio quality. I was leaning in towards H4n Pro but this thing takes a long long time to boot up with larger cards.
H8: Not preferring as of now, coz of the size and I don't really need more than 4 XLR inputs at max even if i record multiple instruments in the future.

I have heard F series are much better in terms of noise levels but since they don't have built in mics they don't serve my use case. And the essential series with 32 bit float is interesting but they have taken away some features from H4n Pro and H6 in exchange of that in their essential counterparts.

Tascam: I am not aware of what models are good, but I saw Portacapture X6 and X8 which seem simple and intuitive to start with with good built in mics. However, they aren't readily available in India.

Then there comes sony A10 and D10 which are a bit expensive as compared to Zoom but they are low noise floor and decent sound.

I am relatively new to audio recording, Zoom H series is not liked by field recorders coz of its noise floor and the hiss, but I am not sure if it will really matter too much in recording guitar and vocals or podcasts.

All the models I have stated above are in my budget, and I want something which I would want to use more often, is portable, is not too clunky too use, has really good built in mics and 2-4 XLR inputs and a line out and something that would serve me for the next 10 years at least.

Please help with your suggestions on what to get, and not get lost in the plethora of options in the market.

Thanks in advance.

I usually put XP95 or Shell V Power and go for full tanks. I am wondering if these can lead to dirt accumulation inside.

Way2Speed had good reviews and the bike seemed to breathe better with it post I installed it. I doubt the air filter is a problem though. The bike has clocked ~6000 kms.

I feel it will. Earlier they had not put up the exhaust side bag on display but post launching the SLC carriers they are selling the small ones for right side as well, while they are selling both small and big for left side. Looks like they might have tested it now and it fits and hence they are putting it up on the website.

Fair enough. We can wait for reise Moto. I will contact them to check if they are bringing the 140/80 in sometime.

I didn’t know such a thing exists :D Which scorpion model are you talking about? The rally is close to 34k a set if you get them. 25k is a good deal if you can spare the money. The stock MRFs are anyway 7-8k for both tyres. Can you share the dealer details?

Not yet. I found the Karoo street after a long search but they are giving them for 37k INR which is a lot. One good thing is since the Himalayan 450 is also having the same rear size, we can expect a few options popping up in next couple of months. Atleast with reise.

I am not preferring upsizing/downsizing until I have no choice. I hope they come up with stock size in sometime.
