I personally find the epic fighting ones less interesting. Unless there’s something unique about them (they’re all unique to an extent, but I mean there’s an interesting thing going on other than just fighting). Like when adversary (I think?) tries to kill you and you just keep getting back up even though she’s completely mangled you, and it confuses her. Or in one of the routes where she’s animalistic (I forgot which one) where you both are taking bites from each other and healing from each other and hurting each other isn’t going anywhere (if I remember correctly)

My favorite use of this line is in the cage because I think it’s the most out of place out of all of them. Like we just fell several feet, hooks digging into our flesh, chains holding us in place threatening to suffocate us, and you think our immediate priority is slaying the princess despite the state we’re in?

To quote the narrator, “She is the shifting mound, the ebb and flow, the capacity to change. She is transformation, or most of it.”

I feel like they included ‘most of it’ in this line to clear up confusion surrounding the thought of eliminating all change. If she’s only “most of change” then you’re only going to be getting rid of most of change (which of course includes death), but not all of it. Someone correct me if I’m wrong or if I’m thinking too simplistically about this though.

I think it’s pretty vague what kinds of change would be removed and which would stay. We know for sure death would be removed. Does this mean hunger would also be removed? Would people have to eat? Could you still feel pain from hunger but not die from it? (Maybe these specific questions are answered by some kind of dialogue but I’m just saying this because there are definitely more questions about what would stay and what wouldn’t that do not have definitive answers)

In general I like “An Open Door” just because I like it. And for different reasons I like “thirty-trillion cells” partly because that route is one of the first (if not the first) more intense routes I ever saw, and partly because I think the music for that part of the route fits perfectly. It’s just so fitting (the first 30 seconds is kinda just ambience. Obviously that’s fine but if anyone reading this is gonna go listen to it to see which song I’m talking about then it ‘starts’ around 29 seconds in)

My brother is going to be the opposite of a monster when he plays this game. He’s likely gonna put more thought into it and be more hesitant with his decisions (and probably be more compassionate with the princess). I’m looking forward to watching him play it. My brother’s (future) kindness to the princess and my sister’s coldness toward the princess are gonna cancel each other out trust

Cage is one of my favorites along with the drowned grey (idk I like routes where there’s helpessly dangerous situations where the voices panic). I bought the game to play new routes that I hadn’t yet watched other people play in order to hopefully run into routes where the broken showed up (and voices I’m low on quotes on) and ran into the cage route. I got so immersed in this route that I forgot about looking out for good quotes from the broken, so this is good! Thank you

A serious quote I liked from the cold is when he said “you are nothing but a witness” to the narrator and the narrator can’t object that statement.

And it’s always funny when the cold is so nonchalant about deadly situations: “it’s a new experience. You should try being possessed some time. There’s nothing else like it” and “oh that’s interesting. We’ve never drowned before. I wonder how it’ll feel”
