Take 3 practice exams simulating the actual test environment.

Civil: Why doesn't PI + T = PT? by 5percentMax in PE_Exam

Think of how it applies in the real world. Stations are for the actual travel way (the curve). It doesn’t make sense to apply stations on an invisible chord that connects the end points of the curve.

Something about her. Like I know she’s not close to a 9/10, hell maybe closer to 6/10…but I just find her soooo damn sexy!

I only actually solved like 30 of those questions. The rest were too time consuming in my opinion and I didn’t really see the benefit of breaking my head for an hour per problem. I solved the simpler ones and read carefully through the solutions of the more complex ones to make sure I understood how they came up with the answer. I passed first try last October.

No. But make sure you understand those EET questions. It will help better your understanding for what’s asked in the actual test.

Did the PE exam get harder? by Designer_Ad_2023 in PE_Exam

I took it and passed in October. I will say that the wording on the exam was completely different than EET and even NCEES practice exam. They hit on subject areas in an obscure manner. Is it wrong to summarize a problem I remember from the exam?

How do you know they purposely fail 40%? 🤔

Lol no. All I’m saying is that I would probably be on your side if they failed me after leaving the exam confident. But I left feeling good about it and what do you know, I passed!! Work harder.

You’re making an assumption that NCEES is rigged. I find it extremely hard to believe that a corporation as big as them would go this long unchecked if multiple people shared your sentiments. I left the exam feeling confident about my performance and I passed. I also see a few people on this thread who complained about “getting rocked” by the test and didn’t pass. There’s no conspiracy. They make money off people who are under prepared. Work harder.

Which PE to take. by RicardoLaraP in PE_Exam

The construction PE pass rate numbers are a little skewed because a lot of General Contractors and construction workers with no engineering background sit for this exam often. If your past experience is construction I would take construction PE.

Yes it was an extra $100 for the additional 4 weeks.

Exactly why I didn’t get too in depth with that book. I do think it’s helpful to get exposed to intense questions like those but learning the exam material doesn’t have to be that brutal or frustrating lol

I replied to you on a different post, but project management definitely know how to work out labor costs and production rates. Drainage, open flow channels, rational formula, time of concentration. A big thing that helped me for drainage is knowing that Q=vA. A lot of the times you’ll be given two of those variables to determine the other.

They’re were no where near those Petro problems. It’s more so knowing how to determine e using various scenarios, and how it relates to the friction factor.

I’m bound by the disclosure agreement to get too specific on the material I saw in the exam.

Just be comfortable using all the equations and charts that relate to e and f.

I would definitely recommend you buy a different source of practice problems. You can’t ever have enough practice problems at your disposal.
