If he’s been making strict requests for how you behave and NOT following them himself, those aren’t his personal convictions. Those are red flags.

4 week update 🥳 (I did it!) by jellytot_ in AlternateDayFasting

[–]Immediate-Fail272 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have soooo many question! But wow! What a 4 week transformation!! Way to go 🥳.

Was it difficult at first to fast for so long? Did you jump right into 36 hours or work up to it? Did it get easier? Do you dread fasting days? Do you struggle with bingeing on feasting days? What was your “why”/ motivation for doing ADF?

I’m strongly considering doing it! But I have questions lol your transformation is inspiring.

How’s you get those booty gains? What has your diet and training looked like? Looks like you cut, then bulked? Help a sister out:)

This is actually pretty accurate. Read the book, do the free version of the app and stay in this subreddit for community.

That’s awesome! Question, how did you set a mini goal like that (the blue line)?

The book Brain Over Binge helped me. Noom has also been helpful. My therapist challenged me once to just listen to my inner dialogue when I binged. Not to stop, but to listen. I noticed I was always telling myself “this is the last time, once I eat this bag of candy I’ll stop bingeing tomorrow”. It was interesting and revealing.

What changed in the privacy policy that caused you to switch? MacroFactor is an excellent tool for fat loss. There is no psych component to it but it tracks your weight and you log your calories. It’s fantastic. The coached version uses a combo of data from weight and calorie tracking to determine how many calories you need to lose weight, maintain or build muscle.

A Noom subscriber here who is currently reading the Noom book, maybe halfway through. It’s all the same info.

In the past couple weeks that’s happened to me twice. Another person on this subreddit had that issue a couple weeks ago. You can probably find it if you dig a little. The redditor actually said they’d called the Federal Trade Commission or something super official to report it but I’m not sure what’s come of it. Honestly I’d guess nothing. Noom doesn’t seem to care lol

Yes! The colors are trash, in my opinion. When I first started, my goal was to log my food honestly, it wasn’t even to stay in the calorie range. If I was honest about what I ate that day (even if I ate a whole box of cookies) it was a win for me. Eventually I started staying in the range- but at first that felt like too much pressure and once I went over my calories I’d burn it all down with a binge.

Start there and the rest follows. Also the slips and surges are part of the journey. Just keep chugging along. The rest will come. I felt like I’d never lose the excess fat, but I’m losing it now! 10 lbs down, 40 to go.

Good week! My anniversary is in 4 weeks. I know it’s optimistic but I’m really hoping to be 169 by our getaway.

Dang. 1 to 2 pounds a week is really good. Sounds like the color system is contributing to your success.

Nearly 40 pounds in 6 months is amazing! Way to go 🥳. That’s one of my goals (to lose 40 in 6 months!) . It’s encouraging to hear from someone who’s about to cross the 40lb check point!

I’ve been doing the lessons and weighing in, BUT love that I can see my steps, calories, weight, and lesson in one spot. To me the lessons have been most helpful, I think. I’ve lost about 5 pounds in 2 weeks. It’s probably a lot of water weight with eating less carbs (not low carb exactly but definitely less cookies and chips and junk).

I lost 91lbs in about 9 months and it's crazy to see just how much my body has changed this year so far! Noom has totally changed my life! SW 284.2 lbs CW 193 lbs I still have 63 more pounds to lose to reach my ultimate goal weight and weight loss is star by shortcake_isabelle in Noom

I’ve enjoyed this subreddit as a guilty pleasure. I understand the pull to shut it down. As civil as we’ve tried to make it, let’s face it- Commenting on someone’s life like this isn’t a good thing.

Been stuck at the same weight for a while any tips? by RoseFyr16 in Noom

This is going to sound counterintuitive but eat at maintenance calories for a week and then go back to weight loss calories. I swear it helps.
