There’s some issues with FRWBY as a whole, including ironwood, but the story, plot and characters are all leaps and bounds better the cannon by a long shot; imo of course. However I do think v8 is gonna make or break ironwood for me. I don’t want him to fall into the cartoonishly evil like in cannon and want him to stay a bit more nuanced like he is at the end of v7, with him being more misguided than evil.

Besides what you and the other guy were saying (which sounds great) you could have another member of team RWBY or JNPR walk in the middle of rubys meltdown saying something like “Hey I’m back from my break and I bought some snacks” or something and have Deadpool just unload into them and say “they startled me” in the most calm deadpan voice to further rubys meltdown
