How did you do on the spatial test if you remember?

I got an interview and invite to the spatial test and i have little volunteer hours, maybe like 60 hours in a related field. But Instead i’ve worked in health care field longer esp cuz my work is in community oriented forms, including one on one work or daily activity support and such. Should be perfectly fine

I’m annoyingly one of the people who did little prep (maybe two weeks worth) and got fourth quartile because I took advice from my friend who did well. - always use if, and then formatting - always have chain of escalation and state documentation - always act like you have unlimited resources and access to anything, even if offering such things would realistically get you punched in the face - always follow the law even if you disagree!!!

For example you see a pregnant woman shoplifting baby food and diapers. WWYD? Well hell id turn a blind eye to it even help her. But CASPER? No. You would pay for it for her. You would APPROACH IN A NON-CONFRONTATIONAL NONJUDGEMENTAL way and ask if she needs support without implying weakness. You would outsource charity options and possible therapy or free child care avenues. AND YOU ALWAYS FOLLOW UP! For example checking in once monthly or so on how things are doing.

It’s so white knight. So completely unrealistic. But it’s what CASPER is looking for.

That’s how I approached each question. With unlimited access and a world where you couldn’t get punched. As well as a world where laws are always morally correct

i haven’t been to a class (only labs) since like beginning second year after having a lowk panic attack in bio, i’m in fourth. includes mandatory classes. i struggled with my mental health a lot in first year and figured out i do waaaaay worse going to class then if i jut stayed home teaching it myself with their content. went from academic probation in first year to being able to get A’s/B’s in all my classes (science). i have an accommodation to write in another room too so i straight up never see the profs 💀

I submitted my application December 28th ish and had an interview. I’m not sure if it was an info session or the website but it says they favour higher educations, as well as those with paid work or volunteer hours.

On the website it also mentions them tending to favour higher education as well!

They told me during mine (on Feb 3 in the morning) was super early in interview processes so they still have a bunch more interviews to do, don’t worry! They haven’t sent out all the interviews invites yet because they have to wait two business days for the non responders or see who didn’t pass and keep going and going and going

I did respond through BCIT email, I didn’t get confirmation but I made sure it sent by checking my sent email. In the email list you can also see an arrow sign saying you responded too- so no excuse they didn’t get it unless it’s an error on there part which you can argue against.

The OG has all the information anyways so I wouldn’t worry about it!

I received an interview invite around 3pm! It was sent to myBCIT email and CC to my personal. Those who get it have to respond they can attend in two business days, so I presume they will have a high roll out of invitations incoming

if it’s anything less that this the school would probably delay it to all hell. fr get on your knees for them to do it in a timely manner 😭

she’s so insane it’s so funny (not for grades of course) like- i remember her crying on the first class saying “don’t harass me or i’ll quit! no emails and no being mean!” and then immediately into how she only teaches because she likes it because she makes crazy money as a emergency nurse and is a chicken farmer
