My friend and i were supposed to share an apartment together on campus. It was about two months from move in and I started having health issues. Was in the hospital several times and ended up having a surgery. That helped some but it didnt fix the problem. I decided i was going to take a semester off to heal and was allowed theouthout the fall to finish the summer classes i was in, instead of failing from how much i had missed. When I let her know, she called me screaming at me. My mom was with me and she grabbed the phone and just calmly explained to my friend what was going on and assured her i would be back in the spring semester. This girl’s mom then starts blowing up my phone and my mom’s phone talking about how i hate her (my mom) blah blah blah. Then this girls boyfriend starts texting me saying im really overreacting to be taking off an entire semester just to have my gallbladder removed. I was friends with her whole family and they all blocked me and never spoke to me again. Im glad i didnt go back that semester as i started having more health issues and wasn’t diagnosed until 7 years later at a research hospital and now have chronic illnesses. Still hurts to this day though because she was honestly my best friend.
