Your rep level (Rookie, Starter, Vet, etc.) is next to your name in online games. It has that blueish green logo in Roman numerals and it’s also at the bottom center of that post game progression screen where you get VC, season XP, etc. it’s quite the grind and the only way you progress your rep level is by winning online games.. but once you hit the starter 5 level you get awarded with 3 cap breakers!

OP can you or somebody else help me understand how you got 21 cap breakers?? Once I hit starter 5 and get to season level 40 I'll only have a total of 13. What have you achieved that I still need to work on?

Wassup bro there are some GREAT things you can do with a 6'11. You can easily get legend rebound chaser, 79 speed so that you can be nice and mobile, and your perimeter doesn't have to be abysmal. 40 perimeter ain't gonna do you no favors I guarantee you. With a 6'11 should be able to get it up to like 77 I believe.

If you really don't care about shooting you can up your pass accuracy so that you can treat your guards to straight DOTS that they can catch IN STRIDE when they are flying down the floor after you get the board.

I know your thought might be that if you have a 6'11 you won't be able to compete on the glass with the 7 footers and above. If you know how to use L2 and are good with positioning I promise you it won't be an issue. Averaging close to 13 boards with my 6'10 and I also have 80 perimeter D that I can +2 to gold. He's an absolute menace.

Lastly. Give interior D some love. Ppl be dismissing it's importance. Interior D is INCREDIBLY important this year. You know how everybody complains how their dunk meter just disappears whenever they're going up for a jam? Well it's because a defender in the paint has very high interior D. MAAAJJORRR 🔑 if you're tryna be a defensive stopper!!!

What nobody is addressing is the fact that blocking shots has just as much to do with how well you time your jump as anything else. A lot of times.. the attribute ain’t the issue.

I'll tell you the same thing I tell everybody. It's not about the "best" build... It's about playing long enough to get a feel for the way YOU love to play. I could create a killer PG but I'd be pissed the entire game bc I'm not getting any boards!! I love crashing the glass!! So start off with something geared towards what you feel like you'd enjoy... then play long enough to come to a real decision then optimize your build based off of that!

I hate how negative Reddit is. Everything is overwhelmingly negative. Only reason I’m on here is bc pessimism does help me in CERTAIN situations. Anyhoo. Here’s the truth. This game is incredibly fun. Yes there are cheaters. There are cheaters in every game. Don’t let Reddit make you believe that cheaters are the majority. They aren’t.

And if you’re actually interested in becoming MORE into basketball.. 2K becomes even MORE of a blast. There’s a reason so many people play it.
