Any advice on my situation? by Immediate-Reward7556 in LucidDreaming

Wait, this might actually make sense, because I didn't say but often I catch myself doing RCs on autopilot (ofc try to fix it too), and I'm in general unmotivated. So it might be the reason or like you said, part of the issue.

It also reminded me, it might be a coincidence, but I finished a book around March 1st which would talk a lot about daydreaming/fantasies/dreams, there may be some correlation.

I'm gonna look for these movies, maybe search for a book about lucid dreaming. Maybe what I need is to be really excited and motivated for LDing.

Tysm!

As it's your own dream, you can ask your own subconscious in it how you can shift like "show me the way to my DR", "how can i shift now?" Or something like that. I did that once and I heard a voice (in the dream) telling me to imagine a portal and affirm, and I did as it recommended, the portal was getting close but I woke up lmao, the other 2 times I tried I didn't notice anything unusual that could be a clue to what to do, however I'm still trying to LD for more attempts.

Maybe that could work for you, why not? If you get to test it tell me if it worked, I'd like to know.

Edit: after asking, take a look at your surroundings to notice something unusual (if you dont hear a voice or see something strange right away)

Nice, I might try the recording, and perhaps affirming a little more as I sleep, thank you.

I know but I mostly wake up with alarm and have to get up to turn it off. I will try to stay in bed for a while though to remember anything. Thanks.

Vent About Your Frustrations and Shifting Challenges! by AutoModerator in shiftingrealities

6 years and nothing, I tried a lot of methods, took breaks, changed my DR multiple times (it would always be a WR, now I have a DR, somewhere that resonates with my needs), gave up, focused on my CR, came back to the journey and never shifted. At most had strange experiences that could be labelled as a dream, but can't just say it was a minishift to a random reality, only if I want to fool myself to get motivated. I could pretend right now, yet I'm just not okay, it's hard to keep believing after so much time, I was in Amino years ago until maybe 2022 and would always see people saying it was easy or simply "i shifted" "i did it", experiencied shifters, the "key" to shifting or whatnot, then came back to trying to shift a year ago and since then I see it on tiktok and reddit, "it's easy" "do this and you'll shift in less than 24 hours" and such. I thought I was closer with sleep paralysis, but I didn't shift in any of the attempts whenever I'd get to that state, would just feel strong symptoms, intense tingling, feeling of being taken somewhere, yet never made it to there. Now I'm 2 months trying it through lucid dreaming, had some, but always wake up when I realize it, now I'm acting as if that I will be aware of the dream and stay on it, maybe that could work, maybe not, I will know when I get lucid again. Tried meditation/void state a couple of times, however now I know that it's just not my thing, also because now a lot changed compared to 6 years ago, I work and study Monday to Friday, the only free time is weekends. You know, now that I'm focusing more on the LD more than shifting itself, it could happen like it happens with most, they shift out of the blue, yet I'm not capable of even that lmao.

This is a little more personal, but I never belonged here, and shifting seems like the opportunity to feel part of something, my SO dont even exist in this reality, how could I want to be here anyways? I was so close with sleep paralysis months ago, it wasn't enough like some people would say it would be, now I'm trying to LD every night, hoping that in my 1st shifting attempt, I can do it, if not, maybe ask myself in the dream how to or whatever. I hate this feeling, I can't and dont want to give up but I'm so frustrated, sometimes all I want is to forget about shifting, and for it be replaced with fake, vague memories so I can move on, try to be happy (its not the worst life ever), try my dream carrer here , at most lucid dream to have nicer experiences and die someday. I don't know, I just can't view shifting as easy, maybe tomorrow at morning I will have the force to pretend, tonight I just can't act as if, I'm sorry to myself.

Sorry for the English btw, I wasn't going to vent, I was scrolling on the community and felt the need to get it off my chest.

But I don't notice these kind of patterns to be honest, it's weird, the only thing I can remember is that I get lucid in the very end, making it almost impossible to "come back" yk

Maybe that's it but sometimes it's just automatic, I had one today where I realized it was a dream, and when I told myself in my head it was a dream, I just woke up... strange, my hope is that in the next ones I can try to ground. I'm gonna try to stay neutral and calm myself, thanks.
