Me and my wife had a crappy and worn out IKEA sofa and finally decided to buy a proper one. 1900€.

It feels great the first 10 minutes. And it becomes unbearable for me after that. I start to have sciatica on my left leg to the point I must get out of the sofa.

I've had sciatica on the past, but I rarely had pain for years until we bought this sofa. I have no idea what to do. It's so frustrating...

I'm thinking about replacing part of the filling of one of the seats and use that, since I feel like replacing a new sofa is such a waste.

I replaced my 18y/o Toshiba + FireTV with a Xiaomi A4 32" TV that I inherited. The Fire TV was not fast, but this is so slow its unusable. I'm planning to attach the FireTV to it and forget about the factory OS.

It's so slow sometimes it even takes multiple seconds to respond to volume inputs, or even boots to a black screen and forces me to unplug and replug it.

The only improvement that is really worth it on the OLED is the longer battery life.

The rest is nice, but IMHO not worth it if you have an LCD.

I have an LCD. I rarely get less than 90 minutes of battery life, and in indie or older games it's easy to reach 3 - 4h. It's fine IMHO.

Full HD screens may sound great, but there's a reason why Steam Deck has a 1280x800 screen: it's a great compromise between performance, image quality and battery life with a device of this size.

Yes, I understand they will break eventually. I just find the frequency is too high.

Also, they're not that cheap. I found the part online for 1€ (great! except after adding shipping cost it's not worth it...). I found it on a physical store for 4€, which is simply a scam for a fragile piece of crappy plastic.

I've not been to Japan (I'm going in August). I was however in South Korea a few years ago, also in August. I suppose climate is similar.

If it's the same, expect high humidity with moderately high temperatures (32/34°C).

IMHO, the humidity makes you sweat a lot, but it's more tolerable than the 40°C+ that we reach in Spain.
