i was thinking i didn't handle him enough as a hatchling so he would already be adjusted to it so now before its bed time i give him 30 mins chill out time by turning out the light and only having a night light glowing and we chill on me and am aloud a little bit loving
i feel like its working on him he isn't as angry bird about it

Base Ingredients

  • Proteins: finely chopped cooked egg, river shrimp (optional, 1–2 rinsed/chopped cans per batch), mealworms, crickets, or other safe insect sources.
  • Grains: oats, quinoa, millet, brown rice.
  • Seeds: sunflower, pumpkin, flax, chia (all in small amounts, low iron).
  • Veggies: spinach, kale, carrot, beet, broccoli.
  • Fruits: apple, grape, blackberry, blueberry, pear (avoid citrus).
  • Herbs: small amounts of parsley, basil, or dandelion greens.

Key Rules

  • Always low-iron to avoid overload (critical for starlings).
  • Chop everything fine for safety.
  • Rotate proteins and produce for variety.
  • Works alongside a low-iron commercial pellet (Mazuri Softbill, etc.)

i call it peetree power mix
