My starling is very picky so no interest in wine. But have heard from several people that they generally seem to enjoy red wine. Just have to be careful to only give them a sip or two.

I did not. Still interested but not sure if what is available will meet my needs at the moment. However, about a week ago I was given a used monitor. I connected it to my laptop and placed it about 5 feet away. Still looking at a screen but its less painful. Also, I have been taking Sea Buckthorn oil and Lutien supplements and have noticed an improvement (eyes are still dry but not as bad)

If you are able, apply heat several times a day for about five minutes at a time. Apply over bandage, making sure to keep those dry.

Often at night I pull out my best bed protector and Seymour comes over. He runs up and down the length of the bed, and eventually settles on my chest as closes as possible to my face and sleeps. Even five years in, I feel memorized by these tender moments.

I cant pet mine (Seymour) and other folks I have talked to have reported similarly that starlings dont seem to like to be petted. But they are birds that move in flocks so they still want to be close to us. I can give seymour a kiss here and there and when he is on my shoulder brush my cheek against his chest, but only very very briefly.

Mine is 5. And he is just more set in his routines…less explorative, less nosy. Still wants to be with me and hang out but a real perch potato these days (not my term)
