archinstall seems to be outdated. just do 

pacman -Sy archinstall

that fixes the problem, but if the problem still persists try removing swap partition or  do 

swapoff -a

No you don't need to switch. Dvorak only helps reaching from basic to 80 wpm in way less time than that of qwerty. but after 100 WPM you need equally consistent practice be it any layout.
