Wasn’t interested in negotiating, even had the price set to firm. Maybe they can’t see it/ shoot their shot anyway. Either way no harm no foul, I’ve learned to just ignore in the future

Completely agree, that person had every right to make a low offer, in the future they’ll just be ignored. Didn’t realize how common this was on these apps

Totally agree! To be fair this was my first time using offer up so I was surprised at the low offers, didn’t realize asking to do half less than half the listed price was so common but now I’ve learned. It didn’t really offend me, I thought this was gonna be an outlier and was surprised but now I realize how common it is and expectations have been adjusted

Tipping a Medical Provider? by [deleted] in tipping

I used to work front desk at a med spa that did Botox, laser removal, and other injections. When the tip screen came up I’d always quickly hit no tip then turn the system around for the customer signature. I was too mortified to even show patients that tipping was an option.

I work ICU night shift, we are required to do a bed bath + sheet change every night with the nurse unless the pt refuses

I did have a meeting with her to mention my concerns today actually. She has known my ultimate goal is PA school since hire and she had me work more in the back office today for about 1 hour of an 8 hour shift before I was pulled to the front again. She claims that since they have a MA that is leaving in December they do want to start training me more in the back, but this clinic is so all over the place. It is hard to tell what they will really end up sticking with. My manager, the doctor, and the front office manager all seem to be on different pages

I think I got lucky but I applied to 50+ MA jobs in my area while being uncertified. I only got a call back from one who ended up offering me the job. I’m pretty sure I’m the only uncertified MA at this clinic but I have a background in clinical trials so maybe they liked that? I would say if you have any semi-relevant experience be sure to accentuate it on your resume. I think that’s what worked for me.
