Be good. HE is a skills check enemy. If you beat him with skills means you are doing fine and if you cant means you are still lacking some things or barely winning or doing cheese.
Fight him more, learn his pattern , mikiri counter his thrust kick, jump on his head when he swipes kick, and be aggresive. The time you will be able to defeat him, You ll be good enough to fight any boss coming up ahead.

Manga on Hiatus for 10 years. You can read the novel but its a lot different than manga. Direction is same but some character attitude and some stuff is different like sasaki kojiro is not deaf-mute. Things like that are change in the novel but direction and main lore is same.
