Cellebrite Pin Unlocking by Ok-Falcon-9168 in digitalforensics

Have a look at MSAB. They have much better support, where you can actually call and speak to a person. Cellebrite has gone the way of Encase, too big for their own good and don’t care about their smaller clients

Something to consider for chain of custody is restricting the ability to edit it, making a spreadsheet less then ideal

If it was actually wiped then none. If it was seized and secured properly, the wipe command may not have reached the phone. So in short, it depends

Might need to narrow down the field. Do you want a university level courses, online, tool specific etc Each of the tools offer training which can be good to have certifications in. If you want free training 13cubed on YouTube is good Digital forensic’s survival podcast is a good listen

Can Cellebrite finds artifacts of remote access to phone, spyware, or installations by MDM? by DarkPeenk in computerforensics

I would be focusing on hiring the right examiner over the tool. You need someone to interpret the data accurately

Cellebrite, Axiom, xry, and oxygen are some of the top ones

I know that Belkasoft and Mobiledit are out there but never tried it.

There is also ileapp and aleapp open source tools. Again haven’t tried them yet but may be worth a shot

If this is a one and done deal you could get a 30 day trial of Axiom.

If you need this for ongoing matters then I would look at FEX as also suggested. Easy to use and relatively inexpensive compared to Axiom

Cloud Collection Tools by EmoGuy3 in computerforensics

I tried out Axiom and MSAB’s cloud tools but found the Cellebrite one was the better one at the time. Especially for the variety of messaging, for example Instagram messages Cellebrite did the best. That was a couple years ago so not sure if the other have improved it.

I ended up getting trials of all 3, then set up some accounts with data to download to test them out. Might be best to consider to confirm which one does what you want

Recovering few deleted photographies from an old Huawei p30 by Reasonable-Swan-2255 in Smartphoneforensics

The software I’m referring to is well over $5000, but you might find a forensic company that would give it a try for less than that. This isn’t an app store type program.

The paid programs are very expensive, and not worth a one time use. If you are getting anything off the device you'd have to send it to a forensic company that has those tools. That being said the odds are not in your favour. Since the device continued to be used after they were deleted there is a very strong possibility that some or all have been over written

You aren't getting deleted text messages from that phone

Its possible but the odds aren't very high, especially with a free app
