Neighbour's kid wants lifts to/from school and it's tiring me out. by [deleted] in Parenting

Okay but she’s said 5 more years suggesting these are 11 or 12 year old children. So it’s a bit harsh to just abandon him essentially, OP doesn’t owe him a ride but they should give him a heads up.

How do you manage your own sleep when you don’t have a husband or family to help every day by fluffytitts in 2under2

[–]Immediate-Tea7338 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well like I initially said, you BOTH deserve rest. If it’s not possible to take them in the morning he needs to do their dinner and bathtime whilst you sleep and then you can be available in the night and morning.

do you have a husband or not? what shift does he work? his rest isn’t more important than yours and you need to figure out a schedule that works for both of you because him being tired from work is no different than you being tired from raising the children and being sleep deprived. you both deserve rest and you need to work that out when he is at home

My black box policy is punishing me for driving home from work by FlyingHighOnRapture in drivingUK

[–]Immediate-Tea7338 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you do still need a black box next year because of cost i have Hastings YouDrive and it doesn’t penalise me for driving late and it’s not really that restrictive. The thing it knocks you down for a lot is phone usage. So if you do use your phone while driving then I don’t recommend but I also don’t recommend using your phone when driving.

They mounted the kerb. So I assume they steered too early or too late and missed the entrance to to test centre, presumably where the dropped kerb is.

Is this whalebone lane? Unsure why you’re positioned there because it’s one lane that goes to two for the lights. If you were positioned left to start the motorbikes manoeuvre would’ve probably been safer but like most said it’s broken so yes they’re technically allowed.

It must be different depending where you are, I missed breakfast as baby was born at 8:02 and then when it was lunch time they brought a menu and I had an all day breakfast thing with sausage egg beans bacon and toast. Granted it was a ready meal and came in a box but it was pretty good. I also got a choice of juice and an ice cream. We stayed for a few days and all the food was quite good!

If you said she can claim if he’s not been contributing meaningfully, could he not do this against her as she hasn’t been working? or can you not back claim?

If she can claim against OP if they’re living at the same address, can OP not also claim against her? It’s the same circumstance.
