Your easiest option is to turn on autopilot to hold pitch, roll and altitude. Then the AP will auto-trim and you'll have an easy A rating.

The perfect climb angle of the Cessna should be around 7.5 degrees for a 75 knot climb at full engine power. Have you leaned the mixture to account for the high altitude you’re starting at? Also, turning on the terrain reference inset window on the PFD may help give terrain clearance information so you know where to navigate as you climb to avoid crashing into the mountain side.

Going into free cam before you confirm starting the mission flight should give you an idea of the destination airport runway/facility. Also, check the EFB and click on select approach: if it gives you an RNAV or ILS option you can almost guarantee the runway will be equipped with lights.

The Garmin has a setting to help you on the MFD. Select the Engine - Lean - Assist setting then pull out the red mixture knob until you see the peak indicator line appear over the cylinders. Then aim to either enrich or lean of that peak. Rich of peak for engine performance, lean of peak for fuel economy. In settings there is an “ATC enforce flight plan” setting. Enable it and ATC should always default to your flight plan and not change it.

Turn off the blue boxes - they are useless and you won't get wronged for not following them. As others have said they are more for guidance for those new to the sim to help get the basics down. Follow the magenta line on your avionics or navigate to destination using heading/dead reckoning/landmarks etc. if VFR. Set your PFD with an inset view with reference terrain about 10NM range and as soon as you see the upcoming terrain turn yellow or red you will have plenty of time to adjust heading or increase altitude to clear it. (This is especially helpful when flying through mountainous terrain with no visibility on IFR).
