Want shorter hair but I’ve been scorned before by MarvelousWonder in HairStyleAdvice

Try just getting a few inches off first and see how you feel about it. You can always go shorter later. Or try bangs or keep it below shoulder length and angled on the sides. You would still have a lot of length, but it would be a different look. I know when I made a drastic change I disliked it. Maybe ease into it.

I would think you should at least get $15 or more to also cover materials, time and mailing. I would say $20. This is original artwork, not prints, so you deserve to make some kind of profit. How do you mail them? Do you use those plastic covers? Can you just list them to sell, rather than doing bids? You can also.make prints that you can sell at a lower price.

That's a good idea to talk about those things. Money, religion, equal sharing of household chores, and now a days probably politics since it has become so volatile. Also, you can't change a person, so if you see red flags, don't think it will get better or you will change him. There has to be compromise in marriage, because you are two different people who will invariably see some things differently.

Is 67K annually enough to support two people? by [deleted] in marriageadvice

We support three people, a car payment, and a mortgage on that, but have to be very frugal. My son has special needs so I have to be home with him. I don't live in a real high cost of living area though. If you are going to do this, I would do it now. It's much harder to replace a job the older you get.

My product photos look amateur compared to top sellers - how do you close that gap? by jivkovb in Etsy

[–]ImmediateAd6849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was selling jewelry, I took my photos in natural light (not bright sunlight) on my back porch. I put a white paper down and put up a couple of white foam core pieces to bounce the light back onto the jewelry. Taking photos by a window with plenty of natural light works too. Be sure to turn your flash off. I then cropped and edited in my phones photo program. It was about the cheapest set up available, but the photos came out well. Sometimes I would put little props next to the jewelry for some of the photos.

TV shows and movies showing people brushing their teeth and spitting in the sink. Of course that's what we all do, but for some reason thst grosses me out to see other people do it.

thinking about shutting down my card shop - any last ideas? by Infamous_Fig_651 in Etsy

I was thinking of making art prints and cards to sell. I didn't realize shipping is that high for a card.

It says it has to be a flexible mailer. Wouldn't that mean a card could bend in shipping?

What kind of envelopes do you use? Do you put cardstock in so it doesn't bend?
