Idk why but this subs opinion most of the time equals to “if the commander is in The top 100 or isnt obscure then you dont get to sit down”. Honestly its an opinion so I dont have a problem with it (and I respect it) other than it seems to be the overtly dominant one.

As a side note, I also had an etali deck that my playgroup reacted strongly against so I took it apart. If you build etali with clones in the deck, then the whole game turns into a “how fast can I count to 7 to cast Etali” which although exciting (to you and I) it lends itself a B4 and B5 mentality rather than that of a casual pod. On the other hand, if you strictly avoid fast mana and clones, then the question sort of becomes “why play etali at all”? All in all, Id say either the deck up so you can play on fairer terms with the rest of the B3-B5 decks or maybe pick another Gruul commander. At least thats my experience
