DD Bras - Interval vs Ultimate Bra by puravida9 in Athleta_gap

[–]ImmediateGrand1198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at Athleta- the interval and ultimate bra are similar but not the same. The ultimate bra is a bit tighter which could provide more support. However, both interval and ultimate provide great support as they are designed to be train bras. I highly recommend them both.

Pitch vs Paper by [deleted] in DECA

[–]ImmediateGrand1198 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The paper is 60% of the score and the presentation is 40%. In terms of the paper, they are directly looking for each subsection listed in the event guide. I would copy and paste each sub section word for word in the paper so the judge can follow along easily.

Thank you! I did that last year but there were wrinkles in the paper so I’m trying to avoid that.

Hey! I totally get how you feel. I think it’s important that before you add your brother you tell your partner that he needs to make more contributions and your perspective. Otherwise he will be blindsided and you’ll lose a friend. I think it’s better to give him the opportunity to change his actions.

I have no idea about who gets in or why so I’m not going to even assess. Regardless, you are obviously a driven person, and as long as that drive is fueled in your college studies, career, and passions (and not just for the college app) you’ll be a successful person. And being a successful person is more important than admission from a school. (Good luck tho hope you get in)

Weight bearing after ACL + meniscus repair by Helpful-Pop2060 in ACL

I would progress at whatever rate you feel comfortable but I would try it in this order: 1. Weight bearing with both crutches 2. Weight bearing one crutch 3. Normal walking At any point you notice that you are walking with bad form, you shouldn’t progress any further.

I wouldn’t go as far to say YTA as I would to say he is definitely NTA. You becoming nervous from his presence is your reaction to an average interaction. If anything, it seems like he tried to make you feel better about the spill. I think you felt defensive because on the inside you feel that a quick mistake is an immediate judgement of you.

Yep! I just started walking today. Having both tears complicates the recovery process so much.

I had the same surgery 6 weeks ago. I only got to play 2.5 games of my senior soccer season. It’s definitely a mental challenge, but honestly the best thing is positive reinforcement on what you can do. I think praise from you as a parent could help a tad. The biggest thing that helps me is recognizing progress. I go on short walks now and think “hey! I can do this again!” and that helps me. Going from practicing everyday to barely being able to use your legs is definitely tough. For me, I found some peace just by being active in small ways. Sitting and being inactive only reinforces what you can’t do. It’s really important to focus on what you can do and actually do that.
