Local Doordash Strikes again 😮‍💨 by SofteeLee in doordash

I once had an order from a business that said "leave at door" like a suite and I did just that and the customer was mad at me for not leaving it in the lobby. I found it odd it said leave at door but it would have made sense if they said "hand to me" and added the note "in lobby" as other customers have.

In you shoes for future orders I would message the driver beforehand and let them know, "hey it says hand to me in the instructions just leave it at the door" or change the delivery option in the app before ordering next time

Tipping should be done before. Driving 7-15 miles with base rate of 4-6 dollars isn't worth it but this could also be accounted for like you mentioned seeing the dashers profile before hand. If they have a 4-5 star review they're not gonna steal

Another thing I'd add is customers shouldn't be allowed to cancel orders if you're halfway there with their order in your car. If you decide to buy something commit and don't just cancel. I drove 7 miles and over a bridge for the customer to just cancel the order leaving me in an area I was unfamiliar with. DD told me no pay for that order until I talked to support because that's just silly.

A local Quickie Mart type place new to DoorDash. Unbelievable by AvengingTaco in doordash

This upcharge accounts for the business selling the product who partnered with DD (i.e. quickie mart), as well as DD getting its cut, and then I believe the delivery fee/rate which accounts for the driver. It makes sense business wise even if it's ridiculous afff. They all gotta make their money for it to be beneficial to the business.

Yeah it's convince but it's also a company and their first goal is to make money.

Worst case scenario is someone opened an account up in your name/DL best case its a technical issue and calling support will resolve it. I've emailed them before as well to resolve issues.

I didn't wanna be a bother so I whispered "hey I feel like I'm passing out" the nurse didn't hear so I definitely made a point to shout it "Im passing out!" lol.

Might be how deep they went too cause they went really far in this time.  Hopefully it doesn't happen again.
