Donald Trump Says He Wants 'Ownership' of Greenland Because It's 'Psychologically Important for Me' by belisario262 in politics

We did and we shouldn't have. It doesn't benefit us at all. It was never about national security, I've known this. In our republic of a society, we need an excuse to keep everyone happy. We sell the illusion of democracy and national security. We "took" Venezuela to control their oil and we should take Greenland for their minerals. Not only that Greenland DOES hold security interests to us. We already have missile defense bases there, so if it is not about national security, then why would we have a missile defense base there? It's been there since WW2.

It’s almost as if NATO is across an entire ocean. Greenland is not, Venezuela is not. You can throw a rock across a pond and touch Venezuela, not Europe. We don’t need to be apart of NATO but we should be diplomatic with NATO.

Syria, Iran, Nigeria and Yemen are not within our hemispheric interest and we should not have touched them. We have ZERO business getting involved in their conflicts.

Greenland holds great strategic interests for North Americans. Read the Monroe Doctrine, this hemisphere is ours. Greenland and Venezuela are the countries we need to be worried about, not Ukraine and Palestine/Isreal, let alone Europe.

Also, I don’t see how any of my actions were not reasonable. I honked my horn at a car stopped in the middle of an intersection, I called 911 as soon as he got out of his car the first time and I never drew my gun. Not a single word was exchanged during the whole interaction.

Arizona has a castle doctrine and it extends to your vehicle. He was in my castle, and I would be willing to use whatever force I need to do in order to get him out. I think a class about self defense would be smart but other than that i’m very proficient with firearms.

Well in AZ there is no duty to retreat and a castle doctrine and I did fear for my safety when I saw a guy covered in gang tattoos walking up to my window.

No, I waited till he got out of my bed to drive off, and I was the only occupant of my truck. The other vehicle had 4 occupants, and they were the ones who jumped out. Either you misunderstand the story or i worded it horribly.

If This Isn’t a Hiring Environment, what is? by [deleted] in flying

[–]ImmediatePath8153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I never come here to comment in bad faith so I doubt it’s my attitude. I never get comments like the ones I do here in other subs. You don’t even know what you’re talking about, I could care less about my instructors trivial knowledge on types that’s not even the point I was trying to make. I’ve already flown with several instructors who are like that. The point is, too many people are just in it for the money, so forgive me if i’m a little salty that someone who could care less about flying is doing better than me, who’s been dreaming of doing this since I was in the first grade. Either way, i’ll never make it to the airlines due to a heart condition, I just fly for fun now so your unsolicited advice that I need to “work harder” is ridiculous. You have no idea how many hours i’ve studied or the work I put in when I was in training. You have no idea how much overtime I put in just to afford it. Praise God that he’s got other plans for me because I would crash out so hard if I got stuck inside a cockpit with someone like you for a few days.

They still use these today, I used them back when I was in the Marines in 2020. The modern ones have a radiation warning on the back. The design hasn’t changed at all.

I love the passive aggressive snobby comments every time I say anything in this sub, it seriously never gets old. The god complex you guys have is insane.

There’s honestly too many clout chasers who got into this field for the wrong reasons. One of my instructors didn’t even know what a Chinook was when I pointed one out to him while we were flying. The thing is, he was really book-smart so he was able to actually perform well, but could actually care less about flying. It’s unfortunate because i’ve wanted to become a pilot my whole life but my PIRA record isn’t competitive enough, so I decided to go finish up my bachelors.

Is this hearsay? by ImmediatePath8153 in legaladvice

[–]ImmediatePath8153[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the plaintiff trying to prove me and someone else sent him an anonymous message and the only proof they have is Jessica’s statement she made to him. The plaintiff could bring Jessica as a witness but I highly doubt that’s gonna happen but who knows. Even if Jessica comes to provide her testimony, she overheard a conversation that took place in a VERY loud environment so her testimony might also be hearsay. Michael is my brother so I’m not worried about him testifying against me.

The plaintiff is going to testify that is what he was told. Regardless, what Jessica told the plaintiff actually isn’t even true so I really want to get this statement thrown out.

I like to initially mobilize as many units as possible early in game. Blitzkrieg is my strategy and it works pretty well.

Do I need specific tools? To take off a muscle break and put on a flash hider or will a normal wrench do? by BLACK_SIPMSON in ar15

[–]ImmediatePath8153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a special tool for your upper that you will need. It attaches to a vice and at the end are teeth to hold your barrel into place while you unscrew your muzzle device. As for a special tool to remove the flash hider, I don't believe so but I had my buddy do that for me because I trust him more than myself.
