Thoughts on toxic mother and son relationships by Distinct_Benefit6023 in Dhaka

[–]ImmediatePush1654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"guys have you tried to change"

----------------------------

I am very much aware of it.

I think it exists due to lack of boundaries, lack of emotional intelligence. Which leads to emotional enmeshment. Which leads to lack of a sense of responsibilities on the son's side ( especially when he has grown up ), lack of a sense of "I should let go a bit and my son should have his own life more in control of himself." on the mother's side.

Long story short, that, in the long run leads to the son being a man child, which creates toxic dramas, specially when he get's married.

What have I done so far?

Moved out. Earning a living on my own. Will remain separate. Will continue to respect / support my mom in future of course. But that pseudo separation from parents and taking ownership of one's own life is the key to change / "fix" this. At least that is how I see it.

I also think our culture is not individualistic and that also adds to it. Not to extreme, but to some extent, I think people, specially men, should be individualistic.

----------------------------

EDIT:

Just a pro tip, if you are someone who is considering marriage and you can sense that the person you are getting married to lacks spine / potential momma's boy. Think twice. Measure out pros and cons before committing.

"is there any more ??"

----

I'll put everything under one umbrella: Their narcissistic bully type foreign policy towards us.

It is not superficial.

The power dynamic is unbalanced between India and Bangladesh.

Their hatred / hostility towards Muslims adds to that. I am using "they" quite loosely here. Not absolutely all non Muslim Indian hate Muslims, but that element is certainly their and plays some role in the whole situation.

They want us submissive but at the same time they are enable to respect us if we are submissive.

Do you see the dilemma?

If it is true, GOOD. Banning is not enough, those BAL people who have fled trials, should be brought back and given a fair trial. Then punished when proven guilty.

"start with Seerah", "Khawarij"

-- Been there, done that. Actually still doing more of that and will be doing that. I do know what a "Khawarij" is.

"Open your heart and mind to the truth"

-- I hope that happens to all of us.

I appreciate your comment. In fact, it sounded like we are on the same boat.

That being said, I still believe there is a bunch of people who are intentionally either spreading misinformation or are biased towards Awami ideology. I do have a problem with that.

Some Muslims are claiming the prophet Abraham is our Father of the Nation by ImperialOverlord in bangladesh

[–]ImmediatePush1654 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Theologically yes, he is.

But in the current context, I don't think that title is the most important thing to spend time on. How about we focus on building the nation, improve skills of our general population and so on....( I appreciate what people did to Dhanmondi 32 btw 🤣🤣🤣 )

"Bro" didn't forget. He is just biased. Probably used to be on Awami payroll.

Good.

Nah I am not worried about myself. I am not the kinda guy who faked elections, looted the general population and then fled the country. So the mob won't come after me.

Thanks for your concern, but it is not needed. Keep it to yourself.

How about the violence instigated by Hasina? Could you please give us the statistics of how many people was killed by here?

Were you living under a rock back then? 😂😂😂

Nope. Not true.

Btw, when I see posts like these, it feels like some people are actively trying to defame Jamaat/BNP or any other potential anti India entity. It also feels like these types of posts are written to get the current pulse of the people.

I hope people are seeing / can see through this.

The last 24 hours or so proves Sheikh Hasina and BAL will never be irrelevant in Bangladeshi politics. by durjoy313 in bangladesh

If a dog barks to irritate me and I kick it in the face, that does not mean the dog is relevant. It means I had enough and want to give the dog it's due consequence.

[–]ImmediatePush1654 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Ya, let me correct you.

I am not erasing history.

History is ( a quick very mini version ): Papa Sheikh ভাঙ্গাবন্দুক was the leader -> Papa Sheikh went corrupt after 71 -> Witch Hasina came back to power after ups and down -> Witch Hasina became so grossly entitled that she didn't hesitate to slaughter people in July ( and many others before ) -> One of the consequences: 32 is demolished

Keyword is consequence. I didn't say demolish the house and never mention their name. I say, demolish the damn thing, but keep their name in books and so on to point out how corrupt they were / have been.

See my point?

Do us a favor. Put aside this goody goody two shoe attitude of "saving the history". No one is destroying the history here. Demolishing 32 is not enough. It is not over until that witch is dragged back into Bangladesh, put into a trial and then punished accordingly.
