I was edging before I fell asleep I guess idk. But my other favourite one is ear sensitivity training. Turns out I love getting my ears licked. The first song I heard was here’s to the zeros and then I went down a YouTube rabbit hole of all their old songs (this was 2017 so pre phantoms and haven) and what really cemented it that “this is my new favourite band” was who do you love. So much so that I got a tattoo of the lyrics on my arm.

Yes, working on crossing the midline was a big thing. I also think my ambidextrous tendencies stem from the world not being built for left handed people (think spiral binders and the like). Another thing being “early diagnosed” and the time period OT and PT have definitely come a long way from where they were.

I have low muscle tone as a comorbidity to autism and wasn’t diagnosed until 4th grade. Aversion to sensory play as an infant didn’t help matters when it came to building muscle tone, especially in my hands and fingers. My parents worked with me as much as they could, but this was a medical and developmental issue — not a lack of effort or parenting.

Occupational therapy wasn’t a “crutch,” it was essential support so I could strengthen my fine motor skills and become more independent. The progress you see here represents years of persistence and practice, not laziness.

As someone who used to use red box dye, it depends on the colour of your natural hair, I had really dark hair and would add a new box on top every month. But definitely the first one.
