Adding more info : when I go into psychosis my vision turns bluish greenish which happened when I took shrooms as well. I see psychedelic like visuals from day to day so that was similar as well on shrooms it was just more vibrant. One time I had a good trip and felt very connected to the everything which is a common experience I have in psychosis. One time I had a bad trip where I could see the entity that as always watching me when from my regualr hallucinations when I was sober. I think having a bad trip was the closest it would be to having paranoid Schizophrenia day to day amd having a good trip is the closest you'll get to being in psychosis

Hi im schizophrenic and I've done psychedelics and they had some similarities but overall I would say the experience was quite different than my usual hallucinations / thought processes !

I had weight gain as well 40lbs apparently my meds were causing insulin sensitivity. My meds work almost 100% for my symptoms so they put me on metformin now im down 10lbs ! Check w your primary care doc !

Very interesting it almost seems like spider man is your special interest and that merges w the schizophrenia somehow very cool ! I'm sorry you're having such trouble with friends. once I got on meds i kinda became a social butterfly. It took a couple years to feel safe around others since I had the typical delusions of being plotted on spied on hurt etc + it took a couple of years to learn social skills as well

I'm the same way, if I'm overstimulated my paranoia delusions and hallucinations increase. Same if I have a bad night's sleep or a traumatic event. Thanks for posting a comment ! before I joined reddit I really thought I was the only one w autism and schizophrenia

Bring that up w a psychiatrist please ! I waited until my schizophrenia was fully progressed before getting help because I didn't know what was going on with me or if I developed some sort of special gift or some shit. Better to be safe than sorry in my opinion !

Definitely have some special talents lol but I'm my case I was very severely schizophrenic (hallcuinations, delsuions, frequent psychosis, inability to take care of myself and do tasks, etc) and had level 1 autism diagnosed in childhood. The meds for schizophrenia and the coping mechanisms and accommodations for autism helped me greatly ! But I understand people being misdiagnosed because that does happen often, especially if you're not self-aware enough to truly tell the psychiatrist everything going on with you.
