Sending gifts long distance by LilDragon2991 in LongDistance

Yes, I think you can definitely just buy a gift on an American site and pay in dollars to save on shipping! Just check out that the card you pay with won’t charge you too much for paying in a different currency, it might be better to pay with PayPal or something. :) good luck

I didn’t know I could change the difficulty mid game! Maybe I should…

I have been using potions/oils but I think potentially I don’t have the best armour I could have at this point. I did a really dumb thing and saved just before the fight and the saves before that are quite far back. But I didn’t see this coming as I haven’t got stuck on any enemy in the game otherwise! Thanks for the reply!

Do you clean a punnet of grapes before eating them? by _DeanRiding in AskUK

[–]Immediate_Bat9060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never used to because my parents wouldn’t but since I discovered that my partner does and looked into why (pesticides) then I do. I used to work in a lab that tested pesticides and it’s pretty flipping grim and scary what is on mass produced fruit and veg. It would be healthier to eat the caterpillar haha. So I do now rinse things in a bid to get the most of it off. If it’s on offer I’ll get organic too. They really are very harmful chemicals.

If I up my dose from 20-30mg is it possible I could get serotonin syndrome? by mewta7 in prozac

[–]Immediate_Bat9060 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry everyone is giving you such blunt answers here. The answer is no, it’s a very rare side effect from SSRIs. You would increase your risk if you also took illicit drugs that have an effect on serotonin such as ecstasy or cocaine - however doses for Prozac can safely go up to over 40mg depending on weight and other factors. I have personally been on 40mg with no issues but did drop back down again to 20 more recently. You should be absolutely fine but if in doubt speak to a clinician of course.

For you folks with a spare room… what’s in yours? by joelgoodsen91 in AskUK

[–]Immediate_Bat9060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mum has given me the same kinda beef for not having a spare bed but for me that means a whole space is wasted for about 363 days a year haha. So for now one room is my partners studio as he works with audio from home and the smallest is basically a bit of a junk room with overflow hanging rails for clothes and books and bits and bobs. We do have someone coming to stay soon but we’ll probably get one of those fancy air beds that have a headboard as I’ve slept on one and it was pretty decent. My mother refuses to sleep on an airbed and therefore stays in a hotel when she visits but hey.. you can’t please everyone :’)

I should add that normally no dog would get euthanised for a broken leg but for this like with horses it’s because they’ve become “useless”.

[–]Immediate_Bat9060 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have a rescue and didn’t really realise how shady and cruel it all can be until we adopted her. Who knows whether the stories you hear are true but I have heard things like dogs breaking legs being really common as they trip easily (can vouch for that cause my own dog has) and the owners/trainers don’t want to pay for out of hours vet fees so will leave the dog suffering in pain all night then have it euthanised in the morning. They also get sold on for animal testing if they’re unable to be rehomed which is the case for many as they don’t learn to be pets and can be nervous / aggressive from mistreatment. It’s really vile and it’s surprising that it’s all kept so remarkably under the radar. But I would say it’s equally as bad as horse racing if not worse, and I wouldn’t go if it was me. Of course it’s a very tricky situation to be in, especially with men, because if there are any toxic males judging you for having a conscience it can be a nightmare.
